The purge is such a stupid movie, I think I just lost brain cell watching it. |
Everest: 9/10 - Great action after the initial slow start. Must watch on IMAX 3D Insidious 3: 7/10 - Moderately scary. Not quite up to The Conjuring level but it was worth the watch. |
Top Five: 6/10 - Funny but nothing crazy. Typical Chris Rock comedy. |
Kinda surprised at all the praise everest is receiving, mind you I didn't see it in Imax so maybe that's my fault. The story to me was fine, not exceptional, I guess I can't ask for much else since it was based on a real story. The part that bothered me was the fact that during the beginning you are briefly introduced to a huge cast of like 20 people, and just around the time you start figuring out the characters, they put on all their gear and masks and then I couldn't tell in a lot of parts who the characters in the scene were. Maybe I am just stupid though (extremely likely). Either way 7/10 for me, for non-Imax viewing. |
Korean movie on Netflix. Called "For the Emperor" Sex scenes: 8.5/10 (hot hot HOT korean girl getting banged) Rest of the movie 5/10 |
Black Mass: 7.5/10 It was a good movie but I felt there were a lot of scenes that were pointlessly longer than they needed to be. Not by a lot, but when added all together it adds up, the pace of the movie would have been much better. Otherwise I would have given the movie a 8-8.5 |

Minions 6/10 |
San Andreas 4/10 Predictable summer action movie with some decent F/X, and flat, boring characters. Waste of bandwidth. |

Too many people, hard to follow once the faces were covered with gear or snow, minimal character development. When "shit hits the fan", it was rather anti-climatic when compared to other disaster movies based on true stories. I didn't know anything about this event prior to the movie so I jumped in cold without spoilers. Spoiler! The movie felt like it prioritized quantity over quality, and it made sure to include a brief honourable mention to all the climbers, rather than to focus on a specific group and display the emotions they were going through. 6/10. |
maze runner scortch trials 8/10 full of action but the storyline was neh 3rd movie on the way for sure |
Skin Trade on Netflix Canada 8/10 - Surprisingly entertaining, lots of fighting and mindless violence Dolf Lundgren and Tony Jaa |
Me and Earl and a dying girl 8/10 Last 1/3 of the movie was done really well IMO |
Everest in IMAX: 8/10 (Because IMAX) Maze Runner: Scorch Trials: 6.5/10 <-- Don't waste your money on D-Box though |

Everest in IMAX 6/10 It looked fantastic in IMAX. I don't recommend seeing it unless you like seeing stupid people doing masochistic things. |
The Martian: 10/10 Great movie, thoroughly entertaining and good humour. |
Pixels 7/10 I thought it wasnt THAT bad. dont know why its rated super low. i Lol'd at some of their lines. |
The departed 8/10 can anyone recommend any similar action movies that they've seen that they think are comparable or better to this film? |
entourage 6/10 it's literally just a 90min episode, nothing more |
Maze Runner: The Scorch Trials 5/10 damn that shit was corny. can't expect too much from a series that caters to tweens the protagonist makes me cringe... he's so flat and full of shit two thumbs up for the hot blonde though |
