Nice! will check it out, I've really been missing watching Canto movies in the last number of years but new Canto movies are so few in number now and I've started to be willing to get my fix watching China movies all in Mando. It's still really weird to me seeing Eddie Peng be such a huge star now since we were friends in HS, I would have never guessed it but good for him!

huge reviews on this as it was a huge netflix. I thought i was really well done.
I would've done it ever so differently. No need to be a flash back story. Just tell is as it is woudl have been nicer as it would have kept audience on their seats.

I do like how it addressed the caste / slave / master relationship and how the guy was trying to climb out of the slums.
Only catch is the last 20 min was a bit too rushed. Was hoping there was a bit more transition at the end.

8/10 but can't give it more than that.

"My missing valentine" 9/10

Super amazing movie. Not a traditional movie in story telling. Totally love how they played with the love rom com ending. It's really different non happy go lucky type taiwanese movie.

Even if they put in a few english songs, it made it work well. They didn't use any crazy famous actress or actor and it wasn't the typical formula. Resulted in 11 nominations: Best editing, visual effects, original script, director, best drama...

Really worth a shot after seeing boring a) hollywood formula movies b) tawiwanese high school movies.

Closest type of movie would be a sci-fi rom com. I would put it this genre as About Time type movie.

Good story. John David Washington (Denzel's song) and Robert Pattinson do a fine job of acting in this film. Kenneth Branagh also did a good job.

The special effects from director Christopher Nolan are crazy.

Anyone see Nomadland? It pulled off a couple of Golden Globes tonight.

Nomadland could be boring for your typical casual movie goer but I felt it was very well acted and directed. A great glimpse into another lifestyle.

I was more a fan of Minari but my wife enjoyed nomadland more.

Both are very good.

i was talking to my bro on why she is making this movie
a) licensing rights are done with Resident Evil
b) her husband needed to continue making money so she got him to direct
c) She got nothing left in acting career...
she did 5th element, then Resident Evil in 2002 and then just pushed out resident evil type movies once every 5 yrs or so...

I enjoyed it, gives a decent portrayal of this new "van life" lifestyle people are adopting nowadays.

8/10 for sure.

As other said, don't let the first few episodes jade you, this thing gets good.

the lovely thing about Wandavision is it starts feeling like a movie later on and you see some faces you remember...

surprisingly damn entertaining because of that, congrats to the Writers.

Watched Croods 2 with the kids last night. 10/10 good family fun.

With only 1 episode left, I can't see how they can properly wrap up WandaVision though...

A friend of mine suggested giving Snowfall a try, going to start it this month.

script is awesome, not too many boring parts. I wasn't a big fan of her; but the director pulled it together.

Ending was decent; gotta watch to the very end (last 3 minutes). There are some wtf moments, but hey, which movies doesn't

Watched this too with my wife. We also liked it a lot. I especially liked the music in this movie. Found a playlist on spotify and have been listening to it at work haha.

It got fairly mixed user reviews according to google, but I also watched it over the weekend and was pleasantly surprised. Total mind-fuck, but entertaining and unique.

EXTREMELY good movie
you don't need crazy special effects, just an extremely great script + editing.

Cast is unheard of, never seen them before (in movies).
Famke Janssen... was from Xmen but man.. maybe it's her bo-tox.. totally didn't recognize her.
Freddie Highmore is playing the Good Doctor, but that's it.

Super legit watch, give it a go. Really good heist and cop and robbery movie.
