I was going to go 3 rotor but I want to buy a house this fall so I think I'll have to stay 2 rotor for now.:( One day I will build a 3 rotor FB.One day.I know where I can get a 20B for cheap with extra housings and everything for about 5g's too.:( I'll just need to feed the Turbo a HKS TO4S over the winter and push 400whp.That ought to hold me over for a while.:D

Oi, dammit. Everytime I finish paying for something new for the car something completely unrelated to the parts I just biught breaks. I'm not mad at it, I'd just like it to realise that I will be replacing the parts that are breaking, can't they just wait their turn?

Baaah, oh well, picked up the Blues for the rear today, mmmm stiff. 125$ for the pair, eat it Tyler !!! I forgot to put the postal code on my order for the front struts, so that's delayed by a day. But sooon dammit.

NanaimoRx-7 05-01-2003 07:30 PM

Right almost forgot, it was the rad that decided to break today. Leaving Lordco it managed to climb in temp from it's usual 1/4 position to a shade under H, in less than 2 minutes !!!!! I veered off the highway and immediately shut 'er down. Hissing sound and rad fluid coming out of the bottom corner, it had a small leak before, but it appears to have gotten larger. Filled it back up with nearby water (it was half empty) and limped it home. I just found air/oil coolers for 60$CAN shipped to replace mine that has a small leak, hopefully they have some rads too. 60 bucks tight and dry is a great price, the only wreckers I found in vic with some wanted 125$.

Been there already.Just bought a Performance oil cooler seeing as it is cheaper than a OEM one from a wrecker

what vehicle?

NanaimoRx-7 05-02-2003 07:53 AM

Brand new Jetta. That thing would kill me off the line and it's automatic....the first two gears are deadly...then it feels like it levels out a bit. Hmmm, we'll have to race later in the summer to find out.

Timpo 05-02-2003 09:18 AM

I've found some 20B engines:)

Well....car is for sale now. Might as well post it here if anyone wants a project car.

Car is:
1990NA
Black Exterior/Interior
Partial Exhaust (no header but has straight pipe to Magnaflow muffler)
Intake
17' Enkei RSF-2 rims with Yokohama A520 rubber (205/40R17)
Momo shift knob (ooooooooohhh....ahhhhhhhhhhhh)

Details are:
Was diagnosed with low compression on rear rotor by a guy at Errington Mechanical who supposedly worked for Mazda for 10 years and has rotary training and worked on them lots. Car runs extremely rich (I figured out about 7-8mpg), lacks power mainly at top end but low end is worse then normal too. Does not burn oil, does not lose coolant, does not puff any smoke at all, does not have trouble starting (about 2 or 3 cranks usually and it fires up). Idles around 1k-1100 at lowest, revs sorta slowly. Body is in good condition and so is interior. If anyone wants a project or anything PM me and we can discuss. :D

BTW, doing this so I can buy a TII!! After a ride in a certain TII there is NO WAY I am staying NA....although I had already decided that this just made me more intense about it.....damn boost is like Crack mixed with Heroin.....one hit and your hooked for life! :P

I dunno really....just sorta putting it out there and waiting for offers, if I cannot sell it I got a guy who is trying to hook me up with a TII engine+full driveline+full electronics and everything so will just do a swap. Have not really decided on a firm price really.....but with the rims on it I guess.......3k-3500, or with stock rims back on it (one is a little bent) 2k-2500. Probably way to high to really sell but whatever....will just see.

91TII 05-02-2003 09:44 PM

Stock rims (car is dirty in picture)

Oh, and forgot some other stuff.

Engine has 168,000km on it (not that it makes a difference if it truely is low compression). Front drivers side has a small dent right above the wheel well....nothing big at all, no paint damage. I bought it like that so no idea how it happened.

Timpo 05-03-2003 04:44 AM

Hey your car looks nice:)
