hell look at my pos frist bought it whiht fucked up eninge had to rebuild eninge/clutch/full spention cause the facotry one one really old and worn out bought new gas tank cause old oen had hole drove aroudn fine for longest time /then i had ot get new clutch cause my p plate was defetive from facotory/ had to replace ignighter coil then disturbuter/ after that when tot go kill my tire so i chould get new set up up blew the crap out of my motor cracked wrist pin droped bolt off the main 2 or 3 spun bareings and dead oil pump/ thenbought turbo parts car took took out every thig i needed ran great after that then i had leakign head gasket on new motor 137 had to repalce/ the i got brake drag had ot repalce alot fo stuff off the brakes and such

had ot pull dash to fix my wireing harness case it bad shape buch of hops ups in the mean tiem then clutch blew up bought new one /now my wireing has to be pulled or fix again and my turbo is showing singh of dieing



what al of that miss spelt words and crap i didn't really want ot corret ti all just to give you an idea what happens when car nut get car his live and soul goes into it and doe snot car how much it brakes ect


ps i still can get good money for my car still know some one that wan to buy ti for 8500 but i wounte sell cause it s my baby

look these are the facts.. the car looked good.. only a few little things.. the alarm needed to be re-wired and new hood otherwise good.. the body was straight and good.. and if it has a straight frame then your good to go.. there is no reason why the car wouldnt be sold more than what it was... who cares if it was broken into awhile back.. or was wrecked.. like said before if it was fixed properly then its ok.. its like buying someone else fully restored classic car from like the Barret Jackson auction.. if its done prefect you will get the money.. i guess it was not ment to be then anyways what are you thinking about buying? :)

Guys in Progressive said they can install 20B engine for approx $5,000. 20B costs approx $5,000 or so.
So labour+engine=should be $15,000 maximum.
3rd gen RX-7 costs approx $20,000
so $20,000+$15,000=$35,000

You can have 3rd gen RX-7 20B for approx $35,000.
Toyota Supra costs approx $40,000 to $45,000...

So 3rd gen RX-7 20B is approx $5,000 to $10,000 cheaper than Toyota Supra...

I think 20B RX-7 is pretty good deal...because I am pretty sure they can smoke NSX or Supra.

BTW...I'm not getting a 20B RX-7 even I had money to spend $35,000 on a car...bad on gas...too dangerous.

I used to wanna get a 20B for my car. I was pretty serious but I sold my car anyways.

There are not many cars on the road that will be able to compete against a turboed 20B. But in any case, I don't know where you got those figures from, but they're way way way off!! If you talk to any REPUTABLE rotary race shop, you won't get such ridiculous numbers. There's alot more to making a 3 rotor work than just dropping in the engine.

Look at Peter Farrell, Pettit Racing, MVA, Staff's and other serious rotary shops that have made 500-800hp+ 20Bs. There is a reason why they are so rare....you could probably count all the ones in North America in your head. If it only did cost $15K to do the mod, everyone would be driving around in a 20B! The costs I've seen for these 20B conversions typically range between $40,000-$60,000 (not inlcuding the car)! A BIG difference from $15K, so there's definitely something up with that.

Apples and oranges, just like the difference between a guy who buys a cheap car and only spends money on cheap mods, and the guy who actually pays the money to buy a good car, and also pays the money to get good mods.

I was actually talking to troy at progressive about this a couple weeks ago. First off the conversion itself with the engine will be well over $20,000. When i was living in Miami Pettit Racing charges approx. $27000 (US of course) for the conversion. Plus you still need all of the parts to support such a beast in the RX. With the intercooler, custom turbo setup, computer, new engine cradle, moving back the firewall, you will NOT have a 20B in an RX-7 for less than 50 thousand,,,,,minimum.

oh really. when i asked him the price of installation, he told me 100hours x $50 labour. Well...that was like 4 or 5 month ago.
Tetsuro from Auto Project TA(PK Motorsports) told me that he can install it in 30 hours x $65 labour.

whe you play the mod soung i i can make john deer tractor do wheel stand all the way down the track all it takes it money money money it just whepoepel buy slwo car and make em faster what gets me buy fast car from the start and then mod then you be doing wheels down the track at cheeper price



but the most coolest car i know of is buddy i talk to has 80 mrk 1 supra and he has 2jz poped in there whiht turbo turnetic's 2k turbo chager gest amet on power is close to liek 900 hp or some thing has not hit the dyno yet but get this ti will be he daily driver/fun car that weight in at 2700 pounds i think

buy a Haltech 2G
rebuild 4G
Install 2G and do the rest yourself.. pretty easy...
way less then 30G and spend the money on go good products..

Close.I know a guy in the states with a 20B T2.IT's around 6g's for the engine,2g's for haltech(Need the E11),$600-$1000 for twin oil coolers(needed),1g for twin high output fans,1g for IC and IC piping,around $500 for the 6 coils needed for direct fire.then the custom mounts and if you have a NA then you need a T2,flywheel,counterwieght and clutch that will hold the 300hp and 297lbs ft. of torque that beast puts out stock.In other words.....A SHITLOAD of $$$.:D

And thats before a rebuild.

All this talk about 20b rotary, what the hell??? Are any one of you going to step up, all of you think you know the cost but have you ever done one! I didn't think so. PROGRESSIVE is a true rotary performance shop. I take my 3rd gen RX there all the time with complete confidence, and apparently so do other people. If you want a straight answer and want to deal with someone who knows what the hell they are talking about as oppossed to someone talking out their ass… PROGRESSIVE is the place to go. Go see for your self. I rest my case…. Care to differ????
P.S. no matter what the cost, you would have to be deicated and I do not see that here!!! I have put well over 20 grand into my RX, a 20b at this time is out of sight..... As soon as one of you beat me light to light I will entertain the idea but as for now.... Show up or SHUT UP!!!!!! Progressive has my vote whether you like it or not!!!

It's either going to be a 20B swap or 13B-RE seeing as the Turbo I will be using will be either a T78 or the T04R.I'm more towards a 20B's torque myself.
