Pho Tau Bay in Guildford. 10/10 Best pho I've ever had. I got a large Pho Tai Bo Vien - $8 and an Avocoado Shake - $4 Tons of beef and beef balls in the pho. Broth was perfect and left no MSG aftertaste. Shake was pretty good too. Not too sweet. Definitely should give it a try if you guys are in the area. |
Libra Room Had the "Down And Dirty" Burger List of ingredients: Fried egg, 4 strips of bacon, tomato, lettuce, beets, fried onions, grilled pineapple also came with fries AND a salad for $15 I was so full afterwards and feeling extremely dirty. 9/10 |

usually this location is busy on the weekend :okay: They have a new location in Newton, King George and 73 area |
Forage on Robson. 8.5/10 Locally sourced food, not too fancy a room and attentive service. It's a new place so there's a lot of "how do like it?" questions. Everything was good and the chowder is as good as other reviews have said. I'd recommend it for Dineout. |
Bau Chau 8/10 mmm |
Splitz Grill on Main Street - 10/10 Had their $3.99 lentil burger lunch special. :sweetjesus: You can get either a lentil burger or Splitz burger for $3.99 from 11am to 4pm on weekdays. Anything else like bacon, cheese, extra toppings are extra. For that price, it's hard to complain! :D |
LOVE SPLITZ. I used to go there all the time when I lived in whistler, missed it so much when I moved back to edmonton, and found out in the time I was back there they had opened one in Van when I moved here. I usually end up spending 12 bucks and leave stuffed and satisfied. |
Ebisu Robson 7.5/10 need more hot dishes |

Shopping around for stupid shit in Richmond with Paradise240 and entrax, decided to get lunch at Aberdeen's food court. I haven't been there for a few months, and had no clue that a Vera's opened up. Seemed obligatory for us to get food from there. I've had Vera's once a long time ago, I don't even remember how old I was. Got the single cheeseburger with a poutine since I was feeling like a fat slob. Man, it was good. Thick patty, good toppings. Usually I don't like tomato in my burger, but they put on a thick slab of it, and was really good. Poutine had too much gravy though; fries were literally swimming in it. It was huge too, ermahgerd. Paradise240 somehow managed to finish a double burger with fries, and entrax had the BBQ special, with BBQ sauce, onions and cheese, also with fries. I seriously, could not move for a bit after, was so full. Solid food, I'd say 8/10. Next time I go, I'll try not to be sick so I can actually taste it more haha. Bad pic. Yes, the Hellaflush sticker was part of the stupid shit I was shopping for. Spoiler! |
Taste of Thai... Broadway and Alma.... 10/10.... This is probably the best food I've ever eaten, tried a bunch of different dishes, gotdamn none disappointed..... Y'all gotta go try this place |

Interesting. I've never had Trevor cook, only ever his employees. I wasn't aware of the blunders in Whistler but I find their burgers are just that much more tastier. One thing about hate about the Main Street location - I hate shredded lettuce. :fuuuuu: |

Wo Fung Noodle Express (Alexandra Road) 10/10. dem chicken wings... |
if I didnt just start dieting id go try splitz right now. Maybe this weekend for a cheat meal. You know who has a good burger? The flying beaver. Love their blue cheese burger. Granted it probably isn't the best and I was just super hungry. |

Their Chicken & Brie sandwich is better than what I've had at Burgoo and Earls, Seafood Salad sandwich is recommended too, and their Chicken Calzone. |

My lady friend and I arrived at around 6:15pm and sadly, there was nobody inside. We were greeted and seated by Yuji and his waitress promptly. We combed through the menu and decided to simply try the omakase. :) The quality of seafood and rice used can simply be described as amazing. Yuji serves up some serious sushi. If you like Shima-ya on Victoria & E. 41st or Sushi Hachi in Richmond, this place is just as good, if not, better! Without being overly cliche, his restaurant can simply be described as a rose in a field of weeds; a hidden gem. If any of you get a chance, give this place a try. I can assure you the quality of food and Yuji's craftsmanship will amaze you. I would most definitely return as there are no comparable restaurants nearby, other than Shima-ya. Street level parking is available after 6pm. They accept cash and credit/debit now. Warning: Your mouth will water. :D (Click on the pictures for a larger pic.) Omakase for 2 followed by matcha green tea and mango ice cream for dessert - $65 plus taxes and tip. We left satisfied and with a big smile on our faces! Course #1 - We normally dislike mackerel because of its fishy taste but not what Yuji served! (Edit: The salmon pictured below is NOT farmed. It is wild sockeye.) http://www.trianglecafe.ca/misc/bcrd...shibyyuji1.jpg Course #2 http://www.trianglecafe.ca/misc/bcrd...shibyyuji2.jpg Course #3 - The grilled piece of fish sushi in the back you see (Edit: thanks Jer3 - it is anago) we were reluctant to try it because we normally don't like the fishy taste associated with grilled fish but again, none of that. Yuji did an awesome job. http://www.trianglecafe.ca/misc/bcrd...shibyyuji3.jpg I normally do not give a full 10/10 rating but Sushi By Yuji gets a solid bcrdukes 10/10. Amazing service, amazing food, and amazing skill/craftsmanship. Would totally go back! :fullofwin: :woot2: |
^10/10??!?!? I have to try now!! Receiving a full 10 from you is like winning the lottery. (I'm being serious) |

Fantastic review Dukes! Shieeet, I don't see you give 10/10 often lol. Glad to see we have similar tastes. Been back to Yuji's as well, I definitely want this place to stick around. I had some sushi the other day, not from Yuji, and it just blew me away at how much of a difference there was. Pretty much, it's only sushi by yuji for me now. |
hahaha yeah I don't give 10s out very often but this place deserved it! :D I'd definitely go there more regularly as the area lacks a "good" sushi restaurant. I didn't mind Shima-ya on Victoria but the parking there is terrible, especially within that plaza. Yuck. |
