Anyone know if there is a price difference in N license and class 5 license?

umpadupa 01-28-2010 04:06 PM

^ there is no difference other then the discount for driving for a year.. so its 5%/year off.. so there is really no difference...

Gnomes 01-28-2010 04:11 PM

$1800 Honda Fit, 7 years

FN-2199 01-28-2010 05:05 PM

1500 a year. My work finances it if I provide 25% of the funds first :)

josel_atr 01-12-2011 11:20 AM

lets bump this up.

im curious to how much RHD owners pay to insure their jdm cars. im considering of getting one imported...

but for now, just renewing my coverages on the 05 evo. 1m third party liab, 500 deductible comprehensive/collision pleasure use with 35% => 154/month

MindBomber 01-12-2011 12:44 PM

$4800- 2002 Civic Si Coupe

$2 million coverage, $1000 deductible, travel to work and school under 15km. Living in Fraser Valley, which drops rates significantly.

+50%

Anjew 01-12-2011 12:51 PM

ouch +50% thats brutal.. does it tick towards zero % even if you dont have insurance?

ilvtofu 01-12-2011 12:58 PM

^Yeah you just need to hold a valid license but damn 4800 is brutal, two years of insurance is already the same if not more than your car's worth

sexyaccord 01-12-2011 12:59 PM

does anyone know if 43% is the max discount you can get?

heard somewhere that if i change the insurance to only allow people with 10+ yrs license to drive there would be an additional discount?

snakejigs 01-12-2011 01:05 PM

Question: I had an accident last December and my insurance is gonna go up 55% this year, 40% 2nd year, 30% on the 3rd and back to -5% on the 4th year.
My question is if I dont get insurance on the first year, would it be 40% next year or do I have to start with 55%? Thanks

Let me know :)

It counts from your license year not from the time from your buying your insurance

i pay 3000/year for my GLK with 25% discount (got my license a few years late) with 3M everything and 600 deductable with 300 per accident from 3rd party insurance (thus 300 deduct) and 5 years if total lose, new car for 1700.

my Mazda 5 07 is also around that with 600 deducts and 5M everything cuz I dont drive it myself. No 3rd party insurance on it.

HollyZ32 01-12-2011 02:44 PM

I WAS paying 239 a month on my 1990 300zx.I don't know how much now because last year my wheel feel off my car, icbc called it a collision cause I collided with the ground (WTF) and gave me a 55% surcharge ( I was only at a 5% discount) and I now haven't driven the car since November lol, but that was how much I was paying lol

FN-2199 01-12-2011 02:49 PM

Now paying $178 a month with my WRX :D

AWDTurboLuvr 01-12-2011 02:50 PM

$1588 for the Cooper S, $1676 for the wife's A4.

PJ 01-12-2011 02:50 PM

170 a month for my G :D
It all depends on your coverage and discount..

Project__D 01-12-2011 02:52 PM

$3300 for Evo IX
