BTW, i like the retouched one better Denny, thats a great shot. I have no clue how you were able to retouch it so well, the hair has more shine, and the skin seems nicer as well.
G/REX i like the right photo of the school room shot best, very neat photo

he lent his studio to me to take some pictures.
Thanks. It's a combination of several techniques; a few are already on my website. I might write a tutorial about this on my website.

whatever adults have, they make it for kids. lotta $$$ in the baby industry. from $1000 strollers to $900 crib bedding sheets! just ridiculous.

Levitron 06-23-2008 11:35 PM

Your baby has the cutest expressions ever :D

"she got it from her momma...." lols

Levitron 06-23-2008 11:48 PM

How old is she now?

g/rex 06-23-2008 11:53 PM

4 months. her age reminds me how long i've been taking photos for. got my first dslr a week after she was born.

Levitron 06-23-2008 11:56 PM

She's definitely a fun subject to do photos of for sure! With you being a new dad and all, I'm surprised you still manage to pump out so much photos :)

Here's my portrait session from tonight:

-Triggers: PT04 x2
-Flashes: 430ex x1 (camera right), Vivitar 3600 x1 (camera left)
-Light modifiers: DIY beauty dish on Vivitar, Umbrella w/ stand on 430ex (approx. 6.5ft high)

yea i saw them on flickr pretty cool, was that for fun/practice or was it for somebody? we should setup a strobist meet like the one they did on flickr. if we get 3 or 4 others that are down to get together i might be able to get a 1 or 2 models as well as a makeup artist. i wanna gain more experience in location shoots. and i find time to take lots of studio pics cuz its in my garage. not bad at all, and i would take more pics of my lil one but her mom doesn't quite approve of all the flashes. lols...

I'd be hesitant if I were to put my kid (hypothetically speaking, that is ;)) in front of strobes like that. So I agree with the mom :D

Models, eh? What about that one that you gave me the number for? LOL

Almost forgot answering your question: I did it for fun I guess. Was helping out a friend mainly.

The idea here is to create a photo montage of 100 images that show the passage of time. Our targeted outcome is 100 photographs of the subject in various states of being (i.e. angry, happy, sad, etc.). However, one shot out of the 100 will be a blank wall, thus only giving us 99 images in total with the subject inside the frame. The blank wall will be "00:00:00"; each photo thereafter will be "00:01:00", "00:02:00", and onwards. We spent approximately 99 minutes on the session, and thus "99 minutes" along with the idea that there will be 99 images of the subject.

Can't wait to see the final product!
