iono about a forward with how our defense is suffering the injury bug if this continues to happen, don't be shocked if we pick up a D man instead |
^ lets Rob the leafs so more and trade for kaberle |
Ottawa might have some players on the market. |

What I think we should focus on is picking up a good offensive defenseman that can QB our PP. A guy like Kaberle or J-Bo would be awesome but the price might be too high. |
I would love Andrei Markov. |
so.. what's brunnstrom been up to? |
I have tickets to the upcoming Jersey game. They are seats in the upper level, up in the corner. I had bought those tickets as a Xmas gift for my dad and brother. I also have tickets to the Chicago game in February. Those are lower bowl, centre ice. I was going to give the Jersey tickets as a gift and go to the Chicago game myself because those are better seats. Now I'm not so sure, since I'd want to see Sundin's first game... Hmm.... |

hahaha if that's true, Gillis is ingenious. That would mean Gillis withdrew from the initial 10mil and bargained with Sundin, and still managed to get him to sign. |

funny, i was just thinking of the same thing. at this point i'd gladly take a seasoned veteran over some rookie |

Would Sundin become alternate captain...? |
I can almost gaurantee the twins will not play with Sundin because if they did, the Canucks *might* improve on their first line, but that does nothing to improve on the second line short of signing another top 6 forward with the left over money. With Sundin on the new top line, this will free up room for the twins as the second line. In fact, this would make them the best second line in the NHL, IMHO. There are some options for lines and will take some time before we know what will work and what won't. If Jah is right, it would be nice to see Pyatt go, but i hope he doesn't become another Cam Neely. |

The consensus between this guy and BP was that Sundin would probably be pretty happy here, joining a team that already has its leaders solidly established, where he can come in and stay largely invisible other than being an offensive force. And yeah, I don't expect you'll see him on a line with the Sedins either - moving them back to the second line will give the team a completely different look offensively and should help free the twins up from being smothered by other teams' top players. |
i can see sundin playing with wellfed, since they were teammates in toronto |

Read 6thGear's post again. The one I quoted. "client voluntarily accepted less than the $10 million" vs "its in the contract that sundin takes a lower pay" see the difference? |

It still appears like he would have preferred to go to the Rangers, but they just couldn't make it work out. |

I'm pretty sure even a week or two ago, I heard one of the commentators say "Sundin" on TV... and it happened pretty regularly a couple years ago during the playoffs... |

I like Brown. He brings toughness to the lineup and I highly doubt AV would drop him. I'm putting my money on Pyatt. He's had enough chances to prove himself, i mean seriously AV has played him on the 1st and 2nd line and still hasn't done shit. |
