can't remember if i heard it on sportnet or team1040. anyway, someone suggested retiring naslands jersey as well, but was quickly shot down cause the panel felt if anyone was to get there number retired next, it should be bure.

Hordi needs to go out there and lay a beating down.

One day after Vancouver Canucks General Manager Mike Gillis told the media that Sundin would make his decision on Thursday, his agent said that might not be the case.

J.P. Barry told TSN's Darren Dreger on AM 640 Toronto radio on Wednesday that Sundin's decision to play for the Canucks, the New York Rangers or to retire would come tomorrow at the earliest — but might not be forthcoming until the weekend.

I see two problems with this...

I don't really care if he pushes it to weekend. Initially, I thought he wasn't gonna be saying anything until Dec.25.
But sure, this weekend is fine too. But instead of saying EARLIEST, make a LATEST date. No one gives a rats ass about the earliest date.

And after all this time, you're telling me he MAY retire still? WTF?

wahyinghung 12-17-2008 09:27 PM

Good Game and Yeah Sanford should have gotten the Shut out if not for Daniels damn turnover..........

mako 12-17-2008 09:33 PM

Sanford was solid tonight, cant be faulted for those two goals

Eff-1 12-17-2008 09:52 PM

I was there.

Props to the Canucks for the ceremony. Very well put together.

The ref tonight was brutal.

I remember a kid in my class in grade 4 was hit by a car. He was a huge linden fan and was wearing his jersey when he was hit. The paramedics had to cut his jersey open so they could treat him.

A few days later, Trevor came to the hospital just to visit this kid. And he gave him a new jersey that was autographed.

He's a true class act.

Harvey Specter 12-17-2008 09:54 PM

Big win tonight and great ceremony indeed.

First Line = Top 3 forwards.

I believe you are looking for the phrase "Starting Line Up"

Harvey Specter 12-17-2008 10:13 PM

hi5-ive 12-17-2008 10:19 PM

Attended the game and it was pretty sweet, the ceremony and stuff that is. The game itself to me was an after thought and seemed pretty boring but whatever my mind was on Linden the whole night anyway. Ordering drinks and food from my seat was pretty dope though. Went a little off and ended up spending like a grand lol. Pair of club seats $460, got a couple mini Linden banners and a Linden Mc Farlane another $35, and also caved and bought the following for $316. Hand signed by Linden and only 160 made.

I thought the first 2 periods were pretty exciting....the first period had lots of end to end action, almost seemed like 4 on 4

I just looked up B-Mo's stats this year cause I was curious....4g 4a 8pts in 31 games.....pretty bad

Yeah, it seem to the me the crowd wasn't into the game at all. Maybe because it was such a long night?

We Need Pix Of The Ceremony

"You don't know this, but Trevor Linden had cracked ribs and torn rib cartilage for the last four games of the 1994 Stanley Cup Final," Cliff Ronning said. "You can't imagine what it's like to hear your captain, in a room down the hall, screaming at the top of his lungs as they injected the needle into his rib cage. Knowing him, he probably thought we couldn't hear. He would then walk into our dressing room like nothing had happened. That was inspirational."
