Ohlund, Mitchell, Kesler and Luongo where all concerned about Brown's #13 when Gillis told them Sundin had signed, but Brown offered to give up #13 without thinking twice. The Canucks and Sundin will be compensating Brown for the gesture. Shows how tight the locker room is this year. |

I'm with Skyline on Pyatt>Brown. I'd like to see hordi/johnson/pyatt. A line who can get lucky from time to time and score.Brown is tough but Pyatt gets in there as well and fights if a teammate gets a dirty hit. If you choose brown over pyatt then i don't know. We have hordichuk that can fight if needed and if he gets injured fighting then bring on brown. |
as a leafs fan i am glad sundin will remain in a canadian market - especially one where i can get plenty of coverage. sundin was always welcome back to the leafs but he really didn't fit into the plans to rebuild - he'd most likely be taking a roster spot from a kid that needs nhl experience. should be interesting to hear the play by play if sundin ends up playing with the sedins - an utter disaster if bob cole were to cover at his age :haha: ultimately i'd like to see him reunite with wellwood but both are too great on the face-off to not have them on different lines. as for the burke snub - pathetic display by canucks ownership - should have remembered that its about honouring a great hockey player and person and dropped the petty crap for a minute. |
on page A65 in the province, in the timeline section "Dec. 15: Sources say Sundin has turned down a Rangers' offer worth $6 million, leaving the New Yorkers scrambling to find more money." :lol |

You guys are stressing too much over this who stays thing. Just take in what a great couple of days this has been... how the room reacted (with their concern for Brown), how MG played the whole thing (not like Quinn pissing off Gretz) and Sundin's reaction (taking less money, apparently calling up MG and asking him on Monday - "How'd you like another Swede?") |

I think Burke should have been invited. The special guests should be ones that Linden would want to be there, not the ones that management like or don't like. Then again, Burke loves the media attention so it's no surprise that he raised a bit of a stink about it... |
It's not stress (well not me atleast)..it's just a discussion. as at the end of the day, our opinions don't matter jack shit as it's all up the coach.lol. |

On Team1040, Rick Ball said the Canucks have decided to come together and buy a gift for Mike Brown for giving up his number 13. |
