Sharks are deadlier than Orcas

Yep, that's the only way to look at it. It's like men vs boys game. Every team has an achilles' heal. I've yet to see it in SJ. And if the Canucks do solve it, there's the goalie. He ain't no slouch.

Harvey Specter 12-23-2008 06:48 PM

Sharks can be beat. The Oilers did it couple weeks ago. The Canucks looked lost in the 1st period but too much time left to call this game over and enough time to get back into it.

MG1 12-23-2008 06:50 PM

OK, give them the first period - chalk it up to the brutal travel. Let's see how the score turns out in the next two periods.

MarkyMark 12-23-2008 06:52 PM

This isn't very shocking anyways, we just played last night and flew out to play right after, we have our 3rd string goalie in net instead of the #1 who we pretty much rely on to win a lot games, and facing a team that hasn't lost in regulation at home all year...when you're playing a team thats better than you you'll need everything going for you, not against.

actually, i see a very, very well coached team in the sharks right now. that was a perfect first period played by the sharks. every single canuck was left scrambling to stay in position but yet the sharks played the puck effortlessly. that team is buying into todd mclellan's system

jlo mein 12-23-2008 06:58 PM

OMFG 4-0 now...and apparently Edler didn't return to the bench after the intermission.

MarkyMark 12-23-2008 06:58 PM

Holy fuck...im just watching now to see how bad it is going to get...fuck me.

6thGear. 12-23-2008 06:58 PM

fucking hell. time to pull schiender..oh wait...now they're doing it

MG1 12-23-2008 07:00 PM

TSN quotes.......

"This is the worst stretch of NHL hockey we have seen!"

"The Canucks have to show a little more backbone here."

mako 12-23-2008 07:00 PM

lets hope Mats Sundin aint watching this game back in Sweden

6thGear. 12-23-2008 07:02 PM

What's the worst blowout loss the Canucks have been in?

actually, anahiem has the most penalties in the league.

are you drunk? The Nucks are playing terribly, 3 of the goals have been absolute gifts.

San Jose lost 7-0 to detroit like 3 days ago....theyre damn good, but theyre far from invincible.

Great White > * ?

6thGear. 12-23-2008 07:14 PM

nope. but unlike san jose, the wings aren't fast like this. not to mention san jose forced those turnovers. it wasn't like a brain fart mindless turnovers.

They got that on video once, the killer whale tore the great white apart.

Hondaracer 12-23-2008 07:17 PM

The thing is.. will San Jose be able to keep up this pace all season and into the playoffs?

will players like Blake, Marleau, Nabokov be able to keep up this level after 82 games?

i dunno.. i kinda see a typical san jose playoff fizzle in the works, especially if they play DET in the playoffs

lets all pray together they play DET and not us lol

i remember that. it was a pretty neat video. but wasn't it the only reported case of a killer whale vs great white shark?

Well I don't think they normally fight, but it gives you an idea of which one is the top dog

Sanford is doing well apparently he should have started lol

Sanford lives for games like this. Sanford used to be a pretty good starting goalie. Being a backup goalie sucks. Especially to a guy like Luongo, who will play every game. When you get the opportunity, you have to be in top form.

Too bad about Schneider. A few more games like today and nobody will want him. Then again, Huet made a comeback after totally losing his confidence.

Harvey Specter 12-23-2008 07:35 PM

SJ lost 6-0, not 7-0. And what sucks even more is all the NW playing tonight won their games.

[ jay ] 12-23-2008 07:45 PM

At least Cody Hodgson is the best player so far in the WJ's.
