YAY we won the game 3 - 0!!! too bad i couldn't watch it, just kept getting posted by the site

MG1 12-28-2008 09:33 PM

I love how they play the "Sanford and Sons" theme song now.

Tuesday's game will be another important game. Are the Flyers still a tough physical team? Haven't followed them for quite some time.

Also, I asked this before. Has anyone seen the Canucks DVD? I was thinking of dropping by Save-On Foods and getting one with the points I have accumulated. If the DVD sucks, I'd rather spend points on other Canucks shit they have there.

AV was so lucky he didn't get seriously hurt when he got smoked by a deflected puck and did anyone catch the two guys with the crazy gladiator costumes sitting behind the Sens bench?

Not really racist! 12-28-2008 10:00 PM

fuck i missed the game..

Not sure about their physical play but the Flyers score a lot of goals.

Lol, one of the guys was annoying the security when they showed them on TV so not a big surprise that one of them was kicked out.

Lack of urgency. At least we didn't need to take advantage of it this time around, but when we're behind and they still don't show any urgency on the PP, especially when it's 5-on-3, then it pisses me off.

Armind 12-28-2008 11:05 PM

Fuckin' missed the game. Grats to Sandman for his first shutout with us!

LoL... I was at the game too, but I didn't know one of those guys got kicked out.

I was sitting beside a bunch of jackasses though that shouted stupid crap throughout the game.

One of their favourite lines was "EAT HIS FACE!". Another was "SODOMIZE HIM!"

Asides from that, they screamed plenty of profanities despite kids being around.

2am last night a think. Overall it was pretty boring. Good to see some insider clips about the player's routine/life, but the outdated content (07/08 season) really kills it. Plus the non-Canuck stuff like an insider look to the fans also adds to the :sleepy: factor.

Claude Lemiux signed a 2 way contract with the San Jose Sharks. We could see him playing in the NHL again.

Sundin is scheduled to land in Vancouver today, and will start practicing with the team, and it is rumoured Jan 4th will be his first game with the team.

OT: But since Alexei Cherepanov's death was a big topic here, thought I'd continue here with an update as well.

RUSSIAN INVESTIGATORS SAY CHEREPANOV WAS 'DOPING'
http://tsn.ca/nhl/story/?id=261215&l...=secStory_main

MOSCOW - Blood and urine samples show former hockey star Alexei Cherepanov took performance-enhancing drugs, Russian investigators said in a statement Monday.

Cherepanov, 19, collapsed Oct. 13 while on the bench for Omsk club Avangard in Russia's Continental Hockey League, or the KHL as it is known. The player, a top prospect of the NHL's New York Rangers, died a short time later.

Russia's federal Investigative Committee said a chemical analysis of the samples allowed experts to conclude "that for several months Alexei Cherepanov engaged in doping." A spokeswoman at the committee refused to specify the drugs that Cherepanov allegedly took.

The statement also said Cherepanov suffered from myocarditis, a condition where not enough blood gets to the heart, and the Russian should not have been playing pro hockey.

The club's medical team might carry legal liability in the episode, the statement added.

"A row of gross violations was committed by the medical brigade helping A. Cherepanov," the statement said. Among them, doctors arrived on the scene a full 12 minutes after Cherepanov collapsed, and the battery on the defibrillator used to attempt shock Cherepanov's heart back to life was drained, the statement said.

Prosecutors earlier this month accused the club's director of negligence. Mikhail Denisov has since been fired, and Monday's statement did not mention him.
Word is Cherepanov was Blood Doping which is the practice of boosting the number of red blood cells (RBCs) in the circulation in order to enhance athletic performance. Because they carry oxygen from the lungs to the muscles, more RBCs in the blood can improve an athlete's aerobic capacity (VO2 max) and endurance.

Article doesn't disclose this bit of info though neither does say if there are ties between his Blood Doping and his Myocarditis.

i got a kesler jersey for christmas came with gift reciept u guys think i should exchange it for a edler wellwood or a hasen? i really like wellwood when he was a leafs but hes only signed for 1 yr...

cdizzle_996 12-29-2008 03:09 PM

Dude, I was at the game on Friday, and tried to find a Kesler jersey that would fit. You think Kesler is going some where? I wouldnt take a Hansen jersey over him.

Not really racist! 12-29-2008 03:10 PM

^ maybe edler...

not a lot of people have his jersey

Harvey Specter 12-29-2008 04:09 PM

TSN.ca has posted a video on their homepage of Sundin arriving at YVR and getting into a Escalade.

6thGear. 12-29-2008 04:14 PM

if it was me and it fits, I'd keep it. I don't think kesler is going anywhere, anytime soon. Since wellwood only signed for 1 yr, we don't know if he's going to come back next season, especially with so many contracts coming up. Hansen is also up in the air and same with edler. Well, maybe not edler. But you get the idea, no point in having a jersey name that may not be a canuck next year. Unless you are a serious hard-core, and I mean hard-core fan that HAS to have EVERY single player jersey out there. Which would mean you have collect even messier, carney, weinrich...etc. haha.

jk.

TBH, I think the problem is not so much the passing, but that at most times, they take a full on minute just trying to gain entry into the zone and set up.

I don't even think it was that we passed too much, we just took really bad shots on the five on three; unusual for the canucks I thought...
