It was a very interesting game to watch. Lots of goals, mistakes that lead to chances. Poor goaltending, great saves, lots of puck control, some controversy, and some poor sportsmanship. All we needed were some fights.

I think this might have been the best Canada VS USA game every.

Anyone see the highlights tonight? Derek Boogaard fought Jody Shelley, and in the fight, one of Boogaard's punches broke Shelley's helmet and he kept on throwing punches. Wow, that is scary how it didn't slow him down, almost like he didn't feel any pain.

Anyone watching the Winter Classic?

Brian Campbell is playing in his second straight Winter Classic, this year with Chicago, last year with Buffalo.

What's really amazing is Ty Conklin, of all goalies, will have started in all three of the Winter Classics to date. First year was with the Edmonton, last year was with the Pittsburgh, and this year with Detroit.

The game is on CBC and NBC. They use different cameras and of course different announcers. Makes for a nice change I guess.
