It doesn't help to boo and throw crap on the ice as if the series is over when it isn't. it's 3-2, not 4-2. True bandwagoners at work. Need more real fans at these games. I was really upset by that scene.

Fans were throwing shit on the ice because they were pissed at the refs and the Blackhawks. And possibly the Canucks for all their stupid mistakes.

i put my money that their main focus was on the canucks. we're known for crap like this. Section 329 is where it's at. True fans up there.

The fans were pissed off that the canucks are continuously blowing leads. Every single game that the canucks lost this series, they blew a lead.

JV6 05-09-2009 10:00 PM

when canucks were about to turn it around on Sundin nice goal to take a 2-1 lead, canucks took fukin dumb penalties holy shit

woob 05-09-2009 10:03 PM

No kidding eh? I would be ashamed to be sitting around these classless people calling themselves Canuck's fans.

Razor Ramon HG 05-09-2009 10:26 PM

Game might've turned out differently if Sundin was able to put in that pass from Kesler on the unpositioned Bulin Wall

Kang19 05-09-2009 10:29 PM

Rangers up 3-1, Caps win series. Devils up 3-2, Carolina wins series. Hawks up 3-2, Canucks win series. MMW

murd0c 05-09-2009 10:31 PM

when you pay $500+ for lower bowl tickets the fans have a right to toss shit on the ice when theres a pathetic display like that.

No1 is making you come. When you buy a ticket, is their a statement on it guaranteeing that Canucks will win or even play well? No, so stfu.

it's a way they deal with it. Have I ever tossed something on the ice no do I condone it no but I can understand it.

Hopefully it will give their head a shake and come out on fire next game!!

Kang19 05-09-2009 10:47 PM

Those are the same fans that wouldn't give 2 shits about the canucks if they were near the bottom in the standings....

Hate to say it but fucking Bieksa cost us the game tonight. He can never keep a lid on his emotions and this time it cost us.

SumAznGuy 05-09-2009 10:54 PM

If you guys were there, you would have heard all the fans booing the refs. Tossing beer and waterbottle onto the ice was to show their contempt of the refs, just like a baseball coach who kicks dirt onto home plate.

SOB gets into a fight with Walker, and we get the extra 2 minutes? WTF was that all about. There were many missed calls, and most were against Chicago.

I'm pretty sure he was in the sin bin for 2 of the goals.

Hondaracer 05-09-2009 10:59 PM

we can still do it

With good reason however. The reffing was terrible.
When Byfuglien scored his second goal of the game on the powerplay... (or was it? -> http://www.nhl.com/scores/htmlreport...9/GS030245.HTM ) The refs announced two penalties to each team (roughing + crosschecking to chicago, 2 roughings to van [not on the scoresheet, but i was there when they announced it]) somehow we ended up with only 4 men on and with a powerplay counting down for the Hawks on the scoreboard. The game sheet was modified to cover up this most aggregious error (essentially game deciding), but there remains on it the conundrum of the game sheet suggesting that it was an even strength goal within two minutes of a penalty and where the canucks only had 5 men on (including a goalie).

Now it could have been forgiven had this terrible display of officiating been followed with calls in the favour of the canucks from then on, but alas more erroneous calls followed.

Perhaps the greater fan base did not appreciate the subtleties of this error (which even if my conspiracy theory is wrong was an error in reffing because surely both scrums were initiated by hawks - and the cross check most blatant) but they did realise in large part that the balance of the universe (to be cliche) was somehow out of sync, and acted accordingly.
.

Yes, he was.

I still think we have a chance. I still remember our series with Dallas in 2007, sure we had the lead in that series and lost it but we got the job done in 7.
