I was listening to the Rick Ball show today at lunch, and his best comment was how that guy should have sold some of the drugs to the Washington Generals.

Not naming names, but as someone who has personal contact with players in the NHL and NFL, I think a lot of you would be shocked at the amount of them consuming performing enhancing drugs and other illegal drugs. You should see what happens on road trips, the amount of hookers and drugs would blow your mind. That's what happens when you're in your 20s, have millions of dollars, woman throwing themselves at you and all that pressure to perform on the ice or field.

Its not just baseball, hockey and the Canucks are not immune to this sort of behavior.

but why would Canucks want that crybaby though?
Even a Cup runner up team wasn't good enough for him.

This will be the one and only time I'll be cheering for the Pens...

d1 05-27-2009 11:18 PM

Hossa a crybaby? Care to explain? Leaving the pens makes him a crybaby?

I want Detroit to win - they deserve it more with the players they have and also their consistent style of playing/winning.

HonestTea 05-27-2009 11:29 PM

RED WINGS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I guess "crybaby" isn't the right term. But he did go to the Red Wings to get a better chance to win the cup. I just find it ironic his old team got back to the finals without him and now there's a rematch.

DanHibiki 05-27-2009 11:48 PM

His choice of going to Detroit isn't a bad one. Everyone could see Detroit in the finals again but I'm sure no one predicted the Penguins to be in the finals again.

hossa got traded to the pens as a rental so i don't think he owed them anything

You should hear some of the stories my friend at Westin tells me whenever hockey teams stay at the hotel during road games ;)

trip 05-28-2009 12:18 AM

true but nothing sticks it to the guy like winning the cup lol

Do you blame him? It's not like he was in Pittsburgh long enough to entail a loyalty to the club... and if you had to choose between Detroit and Pittsburgh, which team would you choose to be on?

ChaKo 05-28-2009 12:34 AM

exactly. the only term suitable for hossa would be intelligent. even if the pens somehow pull this off, it can just be attributed to that fact that anything can happen in the playoffs. in the end, hossa still would've made the wiser choice of signing with the wings, but they were just upset..assuming the pens can get the job done of course.
i wouldn't even find it ironic. hossa is looking to win a cup..not make it to the finals again.

Chairman Kaga 05-29-2009 10:04 AM

I would have signed with Detroit if I was Hossa as wel

Ch28 05-29-2009 10:05 AM

It's not even in the pro's. I've heard of some pretty bad stories about the kids in the juniors, trying to make their way to the big show. All the pressure just to make the NHL. And as a talented 16 year old, you can't imagine all the doors that will open for them.

haha no need, I've witnessed & been in the middle of many first hand.

Westin, haha one infamous story involves a team from the Pacific division an elevator full of hookers, broken hotel furniture and a dog right :haha:
