Damn, I have a feeling too and since Seabrookes dads' company is next to my workplace, I'd have to see him parade the cup around.

You know that if the Canucks sucked so bad just to get draft picks, the whole city would be calling for their heads. Why? Cause most people here don't realize how to build a team properly but instead is so impatient with this team

Ok I'm home now how do I put this...........

Well hmmm.................

Thanks Vancouver Canucks(and I really mean that)

At the beg of the season no one really gave us a chance, from getting a unkown GM to going after Sundin to even keeping the coach no one thought we could do what we did. Lou was out for 2 months everyone said it was done.....We lost 10 straight at home not a chance......For the first time in years the Cancusk put all adversity aside had a number of come back wins, worked their ass off and actually won the division when end of Jan no one gave us a chance.

Yes right now everyones pissed trying to lay blame on everyone we can think of but right now we have to look at all their accomplishments they have seccuded this season. Huge break out seasons by Kessler and Burrows and for once we have a really good future to look a head.

It's too soon to look at what we did wrong what mistakes we made..We should instead be happy about what they did and how far they got. I said the other day the future for are club looks the best it has in years and it does.

Thanks Canucks players and fans that never gave up and gave us the chance to believe. It's not the way we wanted to go out but at least we went out in style tonight.

Thanks boys right now I can't wait until next year!!!

murd0c 05-11-2009 08:24 PM

I have been drinking and I'm not happy so hopefully I didn't ramble too much and actually made sence.

Dude. That 1 guy has more heart for the game than all those other names you mentioned.

Love how the true side of some RS users come out when the Canucks lose... especially those throwing Luongo under the bus. Running superstars out of town in true Vancouver fashion!

On the flip side you have to like what Gillis did to this team in just one year. He's dramatically increased scoring on the team, gotten rid of dumbass pest players\, got some more sandpaper in Hordichuk and O'Brien, not to mention added depth on the blue line which hurt the team real bad last year with all their injuries.

I'm also looking forward to see what the team will do in the off-season. I don't expect Matty Ohlund to be back but Montreal's looking for help on their blue line and I hope he ends up there.

I think it's safe to say that all the guys and girls in this thread that watched all the games this season have to be proud with the Canucks and their effort this season. We were close, but not close enough to making it into the next round. The effort was there but we got beat by a better team. Nothing to be a ashamed of, this team wasn't even suppose to be in the playoffs or win the NW but we did. We weren't suppose to sweep the Blues but we did. We almost made this series a best of one game but we didn't but it's not end of the world. The core guys will remain the same next season and we have some bright young stars who could take this team to the next level.

I can't agree more with what you just said. The fans that have followed closely this season knew that we werent supposed to ge this far. I'm proud of the canucks for proving everyone wrong by winning the division and making it to the second round. Sadly theres wayyy to many bandwagoners jumping down the throats of these players who gave it there all and lost to a team that was better.

DanHibiki 05-11-2009 08:33 PM

HEY GUYS IT COULD BE WORSE. WE COULD BE LEAFS FANS!

Osaka 05-11-2009 08:33 PM

they gave it all they had, really all u can ask for.

Durrann1984 05-11-2009 08:35 PM

so who are we going to get rid of ?

cressydrift 05-11-2009 08:36 PM

To bad the best player on out team (Lu) dissapointed the most. Sundin and Sedin's looked awesome. Mitchell needs to give up the long stick because he cant stick handle worth shit. Good for O'Brien to get a goal this season. I really thought we were going to win.

Time to get a team ready for next season. All the young guys this year learned alot. All this bickering over a sports team is pathetic. I want the Canucks to win as much or more than any other fan, but its only a sport.

6thGear. 05-11-2009 08:37 PM

Very well put from Murdoc and Jah. Yes, I'm totally dissappointed, but I think they did give it their all. Sadly the team just couldn't match the skill CHI has and the tenacity their young players have. That's what drove CHI to win the series, the determination, the fact the young guys are caught in this crazy playoff drive of theirs and never let themselves down with the "no quit" attitude

dL 05-11-2009 08:37 PM

Who here thinks Luongo should still deserve the C if he stays next season?

I do.

Hondaracer 05-11-2009 08:38 PM

anyone who blames Luongo for those over the shoulder shots is an idiot, as well as Kanes backhand

those are virtually unstoppable plays made by star players, defensive breakdowns definately contributed to them, but Luongo would have had to be god himself to stop those shots.

True, but the Kane wraparound is unacceptable.

dL

Not really racist! 05-11-2009 08:41 PM

I just fucking hate how we were going to be up 3 - 1 and we slipped with 2 mins to go

There's going to be a lot of clean shaven dudes at work tomorrow haha
