The final flight aboard AC7037 until Sept. This must be one of the worst flights the team has been on all season long, 4 hours and 30 minutes to think about the lose. :( http://flightaware.com/live/flight/ACA7037 |
Here's a question for debate. With all the complains about Salo made of glass but knowing he brings a lot to the team...would you want to sign Gaborik? |

Not everyone is bashing Luongo here. What everyone is stating, yes - he got us NW Champ, Yes - he got us playoffs 2nd around. But as the cliche goes - the best players have to elevate their game when it's the most important game of the playoff. I don't see why everyone here, is embarassed to be "canucks fans" because a few people are bashing him. Great he did all he did for us! I watch almost every damn game i can. But in the end, everyone can plainly see. He did not play his best game when the team needed him the most. Yes he's bailed out the team 1000000000X, but we needed him tonight. When everyone else played great, your best player doesn't. It is hard to swallow for the average bandwagon fan and the ultra hardcores. That being said - GREAT SEASON! I can't wait till next year - wonder how the nucks are going to look like. I really hope Mattias can resign. Fav. Canucks #3 all time behind Linden and Bure. |

Its really hard to NOT bash Lu tonight. but wutever it was, tonight showed that 1. The team this year was the real deal 2. Luongo is the real deal(.92x save% heading into 2nd round) 3. The canucks were built to keep leads I can blame officiating issues for the whole 2nd round, which i must say, was kinda weird. The penalty kill tonight looked horrible. The powerplay was decent enough as well. As for Luongo. Whatever it was, he took it hard, as expected, especially when everyone played their hearts out. I will say this again, especially to the sedin bashers, The twins have stepped up production and has done things right. The hawks defence also did what they needed to do, shut down the twins as much as possible. Both of these key factors were done correctly. Sundin, looked great the past few games, yes..too little too late, but i really think that he did what was needed to make a difference. As for the defence tonight, they were chasing the hawks and we all know that our D isnt the best when it comes to foot speed, Tonights game showed that. The canucks did their best on the rush, and the defence collapsed. As offensive minded Gillis wanted the team to be, the defensive moves he made solidified the team as a team that can hold leads and slow down fast teams AS long as the forwards accepted the game placed before their hands. Ohlund will be missed, and if the trend for loyal swedes continue, he might stay around for cheap, and I hope the sedins will as well. The twins are for real, yes, they might not have had a great 2nd round, but they definitely tried all they could with the stingy pair of seabrook and keith. The off season talk can begin now but the team has found their identities as well as the mentality of being a team. It's hard to blow up this team, becuz by doing so, everything in the past 3 seasons will be completely put to waste. In my mind since game1 vs st.louis was that all the past winners have had some amazing side story to sweetin the deal. Ours might be tragic, but i always thot that Bourdon and Pyatt's fiancee would guide this team to glory |

Ppl complained bout Salo being made of glass, dun think we want another player on the team with that kind of injury prone. |
Salo's injuries over shadowed his points production and impact every single year, sad but it would be a great loss as theres not many Dmen out there like him. Gaborik, i would much rather have cammelleri. cheaper too! |

i think they did really well already and should be proud of their efforts:thumbsup:... at least they're the last canadian team in the playoffs yo sigh. |
I think Bernier is a must in terms of re-signing. He still has the potential to be that scorer that we all hope he would be and if not, hey, he's still an AWESOME 3rd line checker who can chip in 15-18 goals. I also think the Sedins is a must resign. Trust me, people are gonna be complaining how we should have resigned them next year when we have NO top line. I REALLY want Bouwmeester. So who are some other topend UFA forwards next year? Gaborik Camellari Hossa ...? |
For some reason, I have a feeling Sundin still has it left in him and this was just an off season. |
