In this case, people that will judge you for wearing that would be triad, chinese cops, and theoretically guan yu himself. lol. I wouldn't get one.

Different symbols have different meanings for different people. It's no disrespect if you just think it's a cool design. If you are offended that someone has a tattoo of a chinese god, then that's your problem, not theirs.

How about put a Green Dragon Crescent Blade 青龍偃月刀 on yourself ?

I wouldnt tatoo quan yu on myself, but i can see some people tatoo on himself as "protector" symbol

so um nobody else has a non outlined tattoo?

SkinnyPupp 07-09-2010 09:15 PM

Tons of people do. I assume your buttcheeks won't be getting a lot of sun exposure, so it should wear well. Talk to an artist to be sure though.

Here are a couple examples of non-outlined tattoos:

thanks, my worries is it will fade into a big red blob in like 5 years of time. i heard the outline contains the color so make fading not so noticeable. I have a 3 year old tattoo well its still very sharp and the detail is still there, i can tell the outline has blur out... becoming thicker and not so define if you know what i mean.

I don't want to end up have a big blob of red on my ass

SkinnyPupp 07-09-2010 09:33 PM

Just make sure it heals well and doesn't get sunburnt and you'll be fine

anyone here on this forum had work done by jesse from dutchman tattoos? what were your experiences?

whatitdew 09-22-2010 09:03 PM

Jesse Dicey???

He does some clean, quality work. Does a lot of black and gray, also portraits. But I would recommend other artists for portrait work.

I have not been to him personally, but I know a bunch of people who do.

Dave Nicholson is really good to.

If you are looking for Western Traditional Ryan Halter is the man to see there.

I use Jesse, hes does some pretty good work, I'm happy with it. I like to choose one artist and keep him for all my work, Hes pretty straight forward and he will stick by his quote. He told me once a piece was $600 and would take about 5 hours, I was there and it took over 7 hours and he didn't change the price one bit. Awesome guy

AutozamAZ-3 09-25-2010 04:15 PM

yeah jesse dicey. thanks for the input. have you guys seen much of his japanese work? he doesn't have many examples of japanese styled work in his portfolio

Right arm says "Take Me To The Riot" by Nick at Adrenaline, but I dont think he works there anymore.

Bass Clef and Bahamut's Wheel and wing (from Final Fantasy. Yes I'm a geek) are by Aaron at Adrenaline.

Hey guys, Have any of you heard anything about $$$$$$$$$ tattoo? I have seen his portfolio and its alright, he doesnt charge by the hour, but by quotes. I am looking for a handwriting tattoo across my chest? How much do you think that will cost me?

Berzerker 11-21-2010 08:32 PM

Without knowing the size, script and detail involved you can't guess on an amount.

Has anyone ever gotten pimple around a new tattoo? Just got a new tat down my ribs and it's been about 4 days. It's almost finish peeling and the tattoo itself looks fine, it's not red or swollen just really dry as I stop putting on any lotion or ointment after pimple brokeout. It's not that itchy (other than the normal itch that come from tattoo peeling) nor painful. I've had a few tattoo before this and never had any problem. Should I be worry? My artist told me its nothing to worry about but he did have some kind of itchy skin issue... I hope it's not staph=\

There is 5 fairly large size acne, 3 appear while I was putting on lotion and 2 more appear after.it's around/near the new piece not on it. It's just black ink. I'm sweating alot since I'm in Hk. Does this ever happen to anyone?
