the calf especially near the back of your knees is super sensitive. just personally experience it could of been many other factors like lack of sleep the night before or whatever

Anyone have a rough estimate on how long it would take to see James Acrow?

All depends on how badly he wants to do your work. It could be somewhere between a day to never. It doesn't work like "you put yourself in line and wait your turn"

local for portraits i would recommend

Arden Ross Kid.Marow
Jesse Young Jesse Young - Tattoos for the Working Class

Havn't got anything done by Arden but have seem his work on frds. Looks decent. I got some black and gray work done by Jesse and he's solid.

The artist I posted from down south has a more chicano influence, havn't found any local that does work with the same feel and style though =\

Alpine50 12-01-2012 11:11 PM

Yeah I saw his work heard good things only thing is I got my first tattoo by a artist at that shop now I'm not familiar with the whole tattoo industry but if I went and saw him would that be a dick move to my original artist? He did my hannya piece but what I want is completely different but he could probably do it but I'd rather have Arden if u was to go back. Messaged James Acrow so ill see how that goes

I don't think you owe it to an artist to go to him if you think your piece is better suited to another artist. I've been to 3 artists, and 2 of them I would call to hang out on a regular basis, and imagine it may happen with the 3rd. They are all stoked about the tattoos from the other artists I have and its all different work. I'd go back to anyone of them depending on the piece.

threezero 12-02-2012 03:18 AM

I got work from 5 artists and yea they are usually stroke to check out work i have from other artists.

Now getting another artist to finish a tattoo done by other artist or to rework other artist's work is another story. Some artist wont touch it some do

Alpine50 12-02-2012 10:43 AM

Oh alright good to know thanks

StutteR_ 12-07-2012 10:24 AM

I finally settled on a tattoo. Decided to put this on my wrist.

The tattoo is an infinity symbol with a positive sign in the middle. The tattoo basically represents a positive outlook on life, which I'm all about.

What's everyone's thoughts on getting a visible tattoo on your arm? Even though tattoo's are gaining popularity, do you guys think it will affect getting a job?

jonwon 12-07-2012 02:47 PM

^ i really like that symbol and what it represents

i dont think it would affect getting a job. theres nothing a nice dress shirt and suit cant cover up ;)

threezero 12-07-2012 08:52 PM

Not really an issue if ur a guy as suit is perfect for any situation that needs it cover up. Girls on the other hand...
