Had my first tattoo ever today with Cohen, he exceeded my expectations with the drawing, this is the Finnish coat of arms: http://i4.photobucket.com/albums/y13...psl6rwwgvn.jpg I'll post up a pic once it's somewhat healed. Fuck didn't know what to expect but it was towards the upper limit of my pain tolerance lol Posted via RS Mobile |
Nice, I remember you asking about it when you were first starting to consider it. Pretty cool to see you follow through! Looking forward to the healed pics |
Did he completely Finnish it, or are you doing it in stages? |
Finished the outline and the shading of the filigree in one shot over about 2.5 hours only stopped for switching the gun for shading One more session for a bit more shading and a few things I've gotta think about in terms of the outline etc Posted via RS Mobile |

So took one after I cleaned it tonight, zits lined up pretty good lol http://i4.photobucket.com/albums/y13...pspu8tt4tn.jpg Posted via RS Mobile |
Related to the zits, how do people with chicken skin aka "keratosis pilaris" react to tattoos? or rather, how does the skin turn out after? Typically it's on the upper arm/thigh |
where would the most painful spots to get tattooed on your back and what are the spots that you wouldn't even be able to tell that ur artist is laying ink down? Im startin a back piece in about 3 weeks, got my right sleeve done already Posted via RS Mobile |

lower back had the least pain |
Sides for sure. Everything else from top to bottom was fine, even spinal cord action. Numb spray? really? Kinda takes away from the experience IMO. |
Hondaracer that looks awesome, you've got me thinking about my families coat of arms now... |
ive bitched over and over but elbow is the fuckin worst.. i felt the needle touch my bones and it vibrated thru my whole body.. feel like my bone was breakin apart :lol, sigh gonna hate my next sleeve |

Thanks Underscore! appreciated in terms of the pain i'd say it was probably worse than i expected. In the first few minutes he asked me what i thought and i was kinda like "lol this is what getting a tattoo is?" fast forward 30 minutes and had to control my breathing and i was holding my breathe on long outlines lol |

^^ Same size as well? I'm going to take a stab and say 7hrs +/- 1hrs of work @ $160-$200/hr depending on artist. |

I'd like something similar to this http://media-cache-ak0.pinimg.com/or...703a4336a0.jpg |
Juncha or whatecer his name is is probably the best for that type of stuff, seemingly all he works in. Although on Instagram I've seen suggestions he's $500 an hour Posted via RS Mobile |
Question for you guys, not sure if its been asked before, but how well does that highly detailed stuff age? The tattoo sp00n posted looks epic but I'd imagine after a while a lot of that detail will just blur together. |
Its been 5 years since my first sleeve and its shown no real sign of fading or mashing together. |
