Going in today to get my right arm done. First session will be outline. This is going to be my first tattoo. Going to sstrictly tattoo Posted via RS Mobile |
Second session completed and one more to go, I will post pics once it's complete. Posted via RS Mobile |
Horiryu is my artist, man that guy is quick, took only 3.5 hours for the outline. And who ever says it doesnt hurt. yes it does! All levels of pain. Its either hurts a little or hurts a lot! Maybe it's because this is my very first tattoo so its a type of feeling/pain I have never expected. Posted via RS Mobile |
If you hurt that much in 3.5 hours, outline only, be glad you are able to do multiple sessions! If you want to feel real pain, try sitting there for 6.5 hours, line and shading ;) |
That's a pretty short session for horiryu, was that his idea or yours? My two tats from him he did 6+ hour sessions. Posted via RS Mobile |

I sat for 5 once. Not interested in sitting for that long again. Don't care how much of a 'pussy' someone thinks I am. |
its not like i couldn't handle the pain, i was calm the entire time. I kept thinking of the movie RIPD when he says "relax body!" haha. i have 2 more session, both 4-5 hours each, he is gonna do the top half first session, colour and shading. and the next session will be bottom half colour and shading. its going to be mostly colour. still haven't decided what colours i want for the kois yet. this tattoo is a lot more than i expected it to be. like 1000 more than i expected |
I did an 8 hour outline last year and it sucked pretty bad. All of the color/shading sessions afterwards seemed like a cake walk. haha. that's a nice koi piece. |
I remember my first piece. I thought it hurt like hell and it was just a 2 hour session on my bicep. After a couple more small pieces I could sit like a rock and anything on the arms was a breeze. Your first piece totally hurts more IMO cuz you have no idea what to expect. anything on my ribs still makes me a little nervous lol. Going in Saturday to start my left side, my health has been pretty bad lately so I know its going to suck lol. A couple years ago I decided to get my whole front torso done and out the way since its a bitch. I don't make much money and am horrible at saving so it usually takes me years to finish big pieces. Took almost 3 years to finish a full sleeve. Some ppl can't handle having unfinished work on them. I don't really mind since I treat my whole body like a work in progress. |
After going through this thread over the past 5 years I'm still waiting for SkinnyPupp to post pics of his tats. Or maybe I missed it? Although I should be one to talk, I haven't posted any either :awwyeah: |
You missed it, I have posted all of them :lawl: |
