Ethanol is only in regular gas. If you have a high grade it doesn't have any and not as much for blended.

Any questions about gas station stuff let me know that's my job doing the sales for all the stations and contractors and I used to do build gas stations as well

Oh one of my biggest job surprises was working at an animal research center. Where I was quite floored to meet some of the most compassionate and humane people I've ever encountered and who changed my views on animal research entirely.

These things are just insanely complex and advanced technologies that legitimately cost a ton.
Too true:

A drug takes 10 years to develop from start to finish -- there are 4 stages of FDA approval until it reaches the market place. 99% of drugs FAIL and are rejected -- they may work but cause a range of side effects, are only effective in a small % of the world population, etc etc.
This 10 year time of R&D costs on average $1 billion USD, with the final stage of development costing the bulk of the $1B USD. Unfortunately, this is also the stage of highest rejection -- meaning if $600M USD over 6 years has been spent on drug X and its rejected, all is pretty much lost unless the drug data is sold to another company etc etc (still a fraction of recovery).

If the drug DOES get to market though, that company has 7 years of exclusive rights to sell it and get back all the cash invested. After 7 years, the copyright for the drug (3D molecule shape) comes up, and anyone can make it -- these are called "generic" drugs, and are priced much cheaper as these guys didn't have to spend $1B to R&D the drug, nor deal with numerous other "failed/lost" drugs that failed at FDA stage 4.

Onto another fun fact:
-When your medicines "expire" it hasn't actually "gone bad." What happens is that air has water in it, which is reactive. The medicine tablet you see is a mixture of sugars, starch, and tiny amounts of the actual drug. Because it has lots of pores at the microscopic level, water in the air enters the tablet and reacts with the drug molecules, rendering them useless. As a result, immediately after being made, the amount of drug inside the tablet is already being rendered useless at a calculated rate by the water in the air.
Most drugs are thus considered usable until they reach 90% of their intended potency (10% being lost over time due to environmental air water causing it to become ineffective).

Thus, when your medz are expired, it really only means its operating at 90% strength!

you add 50% 91 and %50 87 and you get 89. its simple

regular gas is actually 85 octane when it leaves edmonton. we boost it to 87 octane with ethanol.

91 octane is 91 octane it contains no ethanol.

You can mix whatever ratios you want to get any octane level. What im saying is we do not do this at the distrubution center. 89 octane is made at the pump.

The travel and hotel industry has evolved a lot since the internet days.

Traditionally the only way to get a hotel room in the early 80 - 90's was by the means of a travel agent or calling the hotel directly to book. Trust me you get ripped off.

As the internet came along and all the information became available and it was open season for the educated consumer.

For example if you are looking for a last minute room and you walk into the hotel, the front desk agent will most likely be a dick to you and charge what is called a standard "Rack Rate". This is the rate set by the GM of the property for anyone that walks in or calls for the rate. One tip is that if you have access just go on the hotel website and it'll be even cheaper.

For the absolute cheapest hotel rooms the best bet is all the travel websites out there

- Expedia
- Travelocity
- Hotels.com
- Priceline, Hotwire being the cheapest as you can name what you pay

And the only other way to get a deal from a hotel these days is if you know someone that works there (friends/family rate - usually $50-$100 bucks off per night pending on hotel) or even if the hotel has a groupon deal going on.

-If you buy a pie at Mcdonald's that doesn't have a time stamp at the end. Chances are its old and the person at the pack was told to rip off all the timers on the expired pies.

-the new crispy chicken in the mcbistro is left out for 2+ hours until they are finally sold.

-The customers change sometimes fall into the muffin basket where the muffins are held

- the ice machine is moldy sometimes

Get the best deal you can on a cheap room, tip whoever is checking you in $10 or $20 depending where you are and ask for a complimentary room upgrade. They have promo codes or whatever for people who have had bad flights, lost luggage etc and they happily use them if it puts cash in their pocket. It has worked for me every time.

Taking your car in for a Autobody shop. Take it to a hourly rate shop and not flat rate shop.

Flat rate shop = Workers don't give a rat's ass. Especially since ICBC has cut down times.

Hourly rate shops = Still some workers don't give a shit, but you still have a chance of someone that actually cares and does his work to his best ability.

when i'm fixing cars i think about boobs, smoking pot, taking a nap, showering, working on my car, how much i hate my co-worker, how i'm totally naked in my coveralls and how great that feels, what to have/what i had for lunch, what's for dinner, finding a new place to live, boobs, job X (usually mythbusters, swimsuit model photographist) would be so cool, how good (or bad) the last porno i watched was, what i'm going to do on the weekend, when i get paid next, smoking pot, where the boss went, coffee, tv/movies, cats,

so basically while i'm doing your brakes or changing your oil, i'm not actually paying any attention whatsoever to what i'm doing.
