In Canada (or BC at least), the best-before date system is used. After the best-before date, the food is still perfectly edible, it's just not super fresh anymore.
An expiry date is a different story. Once it's close or past the date, the food is considered unsafe to eat - toss it out.

So when you guys do the sniff-test for food past its best before date, it's not like you're serving people garbage. You're just giving them "less fresh" food.

I'll vouch for bus passes at T&T too. A lady behind the counter once sold my grandma a concession pass for the PREVIOUS MONTH. Obviously she pocketed the money and screwed my grandma over who unfortunately can't read english.

1st of all, im just trying to find out whats going on in your post, cuz i asked my dad about it and he's unaware of the situation, cuz obviously, that's not the right thing to do.

2nd of all, my parents may or may not be loaded, but if you know me personally, i've been funding myself since i was 19 and i live on my own so dont even go there to assume that i'm "powered by mom"

Actually, the cow's stomach thing is from another supermarket (a famous Viet oriented supermarket based in Vancouver) and the water soaked shrimps is from the same place. However, T&T doesn't soak them, the source soak them. This happens at the warehouse before they arrive at T&T.

If you need more source, check the snack from T&T, mainly the dry stock that got their expired date removed.

I'm not saying his is right or wrong, but to say insurance is more expensive in Ontario is a blanket statement. I bet if you were 50 and had a clean driving record for the past 20 years and insured 4 cars at one time, total cost of insurance will be lower than if you were to insure the same cars through ICBC.
Bodyshops charge more because of supply and demand, and the same goes with alarm installs.
OD is providing a service, and if people felt he was overcharging his business will slow down or people will stop going to him. But if his installs were world class, winning awards, then he can charge a little higher. Right now, the market price for compustar installs is what it is, which is higher than Toronto.

1) insurance, Ont. has private insurance. thus companies set thr own chrage. they have right to refuse to insure somebody. and insurance goes up even if ur not at fault.
BC is public insurance, rates dont go up if u r not at fault. and u get 5% discout upto 45% every year if u are accident free.
