Like seriously WTF, could they not choose a better voice for Jon? I expected from the comic for his voice to be deep and epic, but he sounded like Toby fucking Mcguire. I thought he sounded gay actually, it just didn't work for me having this super strong fucking guy with his cock out sounding like a bitch.

Aside from that minor thing, the movie was good, if you are a fan of the comic, it basically stuck straight to the story. I liked the ending in the movie better than the one in the comic as well, more believable than a psychic squid.

He's not supposed to sound deep and epic. He supposed to sound emotionless and calm.

for the very exact reason I walk around naked in my own house.

He owns everything. he can do whatever the fuck he wants and no one can tell him any different.

i still think the story was sort of flawed

Spoiler!

He's doing what he's supposed to do, not what he wants to do. He already knows what is going to happen. I think he knows the triviality of human beings.

Yes, but he didn't have to sound like a woman. I mean the narrated novel of the book made by DC had him with a deeper voice. I was more used to hearing that, than the high pitched wimpy voiced they put in character for the movie. It just didn't fit for me.

I thought it was quite boring to be honest, after about an hour and a half, I didnt want to be there anymore

Chris_RB 03-13-2009 10:16 PM

I <3 Silk Spectra.

It was a bit slow at times. It could have used more loves scene's and violence to be a little better...heh. But seriously, there wasn't a ton of action. I wanted to see more back-street alley brawls.

I agree. They should just have John blowing up everyone cause that was pretty sweet everytime he does that.

BabyblooLexus 03-14-2009 01:31 AM

just saw the movie, silk spectra is soooo hot! great movie, quite intense

mc25 03-14-2009 06:44 PM

Saw it last night, I liked how they didnt hold back on some things, like the violence, sex, etc. Im tired of PG13 super hero movies :mad
That being said, the movie had its flaws, for starters the length it was to long, alot of scenes dragged on, none of the characters had much development save a couple, even though they were all main characters (thats the problem with having so many characters)..
Id say 6.75/10

Zyzz 03-14-2009 11:01 PM

its hard to have a villain when the superhero is god

BoneThug 03-14-2009 11:15 PM

very happy with that movie. true to the comic except for a couple story arcs

unidentified 03-15-2009 12:53 AM

It definitely was nothing like what I had expected. Anybody expecting lots of action will be disappointed. I haven't read the comic but the way the scenes played out were similar to the way it would in a comic book. It was kind of choppy and there were a lot of flashbacks. I do think that most people won't really understand or be able to appreciate it without having read the comic. There were some aspects of the characters' background stories that were really dragged out and probably unnecessary. I also think they could have gotten a different actress for the role of Laurie. Malin Akerman is BAD. I didn't believe her in that role at all - absolutely not depth whatsoever. Oy.

HonestTea 03-15-2009 12:56 AM

Just watched the movie at metro today and I thought it was pretty cool haha

Never read the comics or knew anything about "The Watchmen" until today lol but I'm definitely gonna try and find the comics online :)

Spoiler!

Agreed she was horrible. Althought her character herself isn't that great. But her acting made me cringe. Very nice body tho!

Really? Then tell me...who "won" at the end?

There's only no villain in this movie because many of you are thinking of villain in a traditional movie bad guy way. You're all wondering where Dr. Octopus is.

Alphamale 03-15-2009 07:49 AM

People who don't get "Watchmen" are so fucking vain.

there was a lot of character development, all the flashbacks explain a lot about how each character is

ashtaron14 03-16-2009 12:45 AM

Heard that there's this extra movie thing where there are clips of the old heroes, or is it in the Blue-ray?

SiRV 03-16-2009 12:53 AM

just curious, i haven't seen the movie yet, but is the comic book with the guy riding a bunch of dead bodies as a floating raft part of the story? I'd love to see those green dead bodies lol

+1

except for it being too long it was really well done

Grandmaster TSE 03-16-2009 11:52 AM

they changed some stuff and left out some things, but overall it stayed pretty damn close to the graphic novel which was great
