We got a shit load here on the island, 10-12 inches overnight. This first pic was from this morning about 30 minutes AFTER I had cleaned all the snow off my lude.

And then later in the day once it finally stopped snowing.

why is your lude parked in the middle of no where?

lol.. did you use a tracter to plow through all the snow?

roastpuff 12-14-2008 06:10 PM

Pics are flipped. XD I'm guessing the second one was the before, and the first one was the after?

jimzilla 12-14-2008 06:10 PM

happy to say, no sight of snow what so ever in maple ridge, just cold as fuck

Alatar 12-14-2008 06:18 PM

That looks like the corner of W. 41st and Manitoba, with the TL. It's not there anymore, btw.

Rated B 12-14-2008 07:46 PM

They showed clips on the 6pm news and that TL was one of them.

Picked up 3 friends last night and we drove around Richmond/Burnaby/Vancouver last night.

Richmond was by far worse then Burnaby and Vancouver.

Saw a grey or black R32 GT-R with the front end damaged near the Tim Horton's on Bridgeport. The owner had abandoned the car and put the front bumper in the car, leaving the passenger side window open.

Tons of cars at Lansdowne snow drifting. Left there around 3:30am with snow plows coming in and cops on the Earl's Lansdowne side stopping people. lol.

Most serious accident I saw was the aftermath of a TSX sitting in the ditch, nose down, rear end in the rear... on Knight St. Southbound after the bridgeport exit. Hope that driver is okay.

:lol people dont know how to drive in the snow. I made it home from vancouver to surrey at 3 am fine. It was weird how once I got on the grandview highway ext to highway 1 that it was all clear from there. I was surprised that surrey didnt get any snow at all.

Roach 12-14-2008 08:51 PM

I came home from alex fraser and then onto highway 10 and it was blowing heavy snow. Basically a white-out. Around 3:30am.

That's the reason I got winter tires. Living on a side street. That, and being able to go snowboarding/to Whistler and Big White this season. :)

danned 12-14-2008 10:10 PM

van_driver 12-14-2008 10:17 PM

was it this cold at this time of the year last year?

I dont' remember it being -10 or so.
Tomorrow is going to be around -5 to -8...
Seems like even when it's sunny, it's not a good day to go out :(

danned 12-14-2008 10:45 PM

driving would be hard on icy roads

The Dude 12-14-2008 11:59 PM

Little chilly up in 100 Mile House right now, did not get above -20 at all today, -32.5 right now, probably get a bit colder before the a.m. Snowed all day saturday, probably got about 8" or so, lots more in the back yard where it drifted off of the roof.....

Willingdon was nicely cleared on my way to work this morning.

It's chilly as fuck today.

quasi 12-15-2008 07:55 AM

We need more snow where I live so I can take my kid out and teach him how to build a snowman on top of a fire hydrant for epic ownage.

You should try Winnipeg's -45 to -50 with windchill where I am right now, it's like a living hell walking out of the hotel haha

No the first one is before, and the second is after the driveway was cleared and I cleaned all the snow off the car.

It hasn't moved from that spot either, thank god for the 4WD second vehicle!

I go to winnipeg every few months for work for a week, I think I'm going back mid jan. Everyone said that the coldest time so I'm going to experience it. Good thing that the work place is a 5 minute walk from the hotel
