Great... get to (hopefully) fly into Abby airport tomorrow morning. I hope im not sitting at Edmontons Airport for like 18 hours.... :(

Presto 12-21-2008 12:01 AM

Traffic was slow tonight, but surprisingly smooth. I made it from downtown to Langley, while dropping off friends along the way, in 2 hours. Winter tires FTW.

wouwou 12-21-2008 12:31 AM

its dying down on BBY mountain, not too bad as of now

Gt-R R34 12-21-2008 12:55 AM

wasn't to bad in richmond too.

I'd thank city of richmond's snow crew, saw them all over the place plowing and sprayin salt.

Good job!

Truenosan 12-21-2008 01:02 AM

I dont mind the plowing, just stop salting the roads ! I'd wish they use sand instead, but I think it costs a lot more.

My Adventure from Coq to Bur (Arcade) and back to Coq~
Not bad for FWD w/ 2 summer-abused snow tires~ I can wait till Apr to change summer!

Me too :(
Just make sure you go through the car wash as soon as the temperature gets above 0 degrees :D

hk20000 12-21-2008 02:01 AM

I cruised right down from Vancouver to Richmond @ 80km/h on 4 season tires.

zero traffic ftfw. AWD ftfw. Mitsubishi may make shit cars but their 4WD is GREAT!

cctw 12-21-2008 02:04 AM

its 10 cm now..it was soooo deep when i went out to shovel the snow

hi5-ive 12-21-2008 02:37 AM

muteki 12-21-2008 02:44 AM

^ Why not? I saw a lot of people doing it on my way home.
Heck I did it when I got home. Haha.

It's still blowing at this ungodly hour. I just burned god knows how much gas seeing exactly how easily an AWD Lexus LS460 slides.

And I can now tell you that it slides easily enough that you can pretty much navigate into, around, and out of every parking lot in the Port Kells area without the back tires ever getting traction. Awesome.

But, if it continues, I may abandon next weeks press car (Pontiac G8 GT) in favour a chain-equipped Land Rover.

GOD I LOVE MY LIFE.

AzNightmare 12-21-2008 03:05 AM

I went sliding in the snow with my car for the very first time today... kinda fun, but the snow was too thick in that area. Because very few cars have been there recently so the snow was still fresh. Couldn't pick up any more speed than like 40km/h...

orange7 12-21-2008 03:41 AM

lol.. i was in my friend's civic with snow tires..

we drove by many skidding cars without proper tires..

there were having a hard time accelerating from a red light...
