Must have gotten in the dumbest argument with the math advisor. After doing the mdt, I scored perfect and on part 2 I got a 10 out of 20. They tried to put me in 1101. I told them what's the point? I havnt done math since 2004 and I'm 24 and I still did ok ( the cut off was 15 for 1150). Now I have to go argue with the math advisor during her office hours

So I'm having the worst experience with my cpsc 1040 prof.
He's been giving me strange information that's usually off topic whenever I ask him for help and whenever we're in the labs he talks to me as if I'm a thickheaded dumbass. It's also obvious that he favors students in this class just by the way he talks to them and how he simply looks at me.

He often changes the tone of his voice at me when I ask for clarification and the info he proceeds to give me is, like stated above, irrelevant.
I'm pretty much asking for advice cause I don't know whether to take this to the dean or not. It's gotten so frustrating.

It's hard to take it up to the dean unless he really hates you to a point where it's practically obvious and messing with your marks and such. Then you can appeal for an unfair grade which I assume is a pretty long process.

Best solution is to suck it up and be on his good side and do whatever he wants you to do. Tough sometimes when you get stuck with profs you hate but its too late to drop so might as well make the best out of it.

Wtf, i checked when registration times first were available and i had the 29th. I checked again yesterday cause my friend was talking about it and now I have the 4th. bullshit.

Registration times for Arts & Science students are determined using a combination of the number of credits completed and their Langara College cumulative grade point average. Returning career program students register by program and program term."

what is your GPA like and how many credits? I have a 3.1 and 51 credits and I got the 31st of March, so if you have more then you might consider complaining since there is still some time until registration starts.

i have 9 credits completed but a 3.5ish gpa.

I've been thinking about it hard and by the way things have been turning I got a feeling i'll finish this course with like a 2.6-.8 GPA. 2.9 if i pick up my slack. =/ In the beginning things were good near perfect on each lab but now im getting like 28/40 on my labs.

I know I gotta pick up my slack but would 2.6 really kill my chances in transferring to SFU(compsci)?

2.6 gpa overall or just the course. Cuz 2.6 gpa is pretty damn ok imo. I'm still aiming high to 2.6 and with the gpa and 40 credits I have now I'm sort of close to it. I'm planning courses like Anthropology, asian studies, intro to bus in canada, HKIN, 1100, or marketing. All are just what I have interest in and hoping to be available, nothing final

I have a 2.6 and SFU said they would not consider my application until I have a 3.0 gpa.
Do not waste your time until and money..
They were nice enough to put my application status on hold until I reach 3.0

What the hell? 3.0 gpa before they even look at it and consider?
