Vaio P for the bling factor.. but in reality the processor, the standard hdd, as well as speakers all suck. Unless you got the top model which is by far a ripoff. But man it looks nice.

What about the S10E... Same 6-Cell battery and it is slim....

!MiKrofT 04-29-2009 07:43 PM

S10E has a lower res screen... The battery even though it's 6 cell doesn't last as long. As well the keyoboard is kinda small.. But it makes a great base for an OSX machine.

I just got another Aspire One pink for my wife from Staples with $50 off coupon (redflagdeals).
$280 before tax shipped for 160GB/XP Home/1GB RAM/3 Cell battery. That's cheaper than I got my wife's first EEE 2GB surf. :p
Ordered it on phone 2pm in the afternoon on Wednesday, it's at my door 9am this morning.

This one might be good to jump on. Same thing, but 8GB SSD instead with Windows XP.
It will be $252 if you can get that $50 to work. ;)

or 160GB HD with Blue or Brown or Black for $341 - $50 = $291 if you can get it.

Also, MSI Wind with 9 cells + 3 cells battery is now on sale in NCIX.

Just wanted to chime in. I got an Asus EEE 1000HE when they were on pre-order. It's completely kicked ass! :)

Battery life is awesome, it's great to be able to kick it at the beach or in the park with my aircard when it's sunny.

The code didn't work, but she asked for another one and got the discount. She picked up a blue Aspire One. I set it up for her and I hate it LOL The keys are OK in size and spacing, but it's just so, so....ugly. hahaha It's huge compared to my 10" HP Mini hahaha

^ sorry it didn't work for the one I gave you. :p

I just put a 64GB SSD in mine and it flies. :) Booting from BIOS to Windows XP takes only around 15~20 seconds now.

+Kardboard+ 05-06-2009 11:17 AM

I still have a 128GB RunCore SSD for my HP Mini that I bought in January coming...NEVER BUY FROM RUNCORE. Terrible. I've had three different units already; all defective.

!MiKrofT 05-06-2009 12:22 PM

Lol. Glad to see it working good for you :D

My 128gb servin me well.. although not as fast boot since I'm using Win7

Lol. that sux. But then again you really don't have much options in terms of 1.8" SSD ZIF drives.

Yeah, and I thought I'd go on an adventure and take a chance on it rather than outright returning it.

Smart cookie I am. :p

thank you for your SSD. ;)

But I don't find it last any longer on battery compare to my original HD. Maybe I need MLC SSD for that?
It's much cooler too. It used to get a little hotter on the Aspire one, but now I can't fell anything and the CPU fan hardly come up now. :)

asian_XL 05-06-2009 09:22 PM

:fuuuuu:

128gb SSD on a nettop isn't that overkill?

twitchyzero 05-06-2009 09:51 PM

people stick 500GB HDD into their netbooks so i dont see how 128GB SSD is overkill.

Surely the only laptop that comes with 128GB SSD is only a $3k Macbook Air...

asian_XL 05-07-2009 12:19 AM

I mean the price of it...
128gb ssd is like $350, you can pretty much buy another nettop
