Shitty raptors game tonight. I can't count how many time Nash did the screen and roll passing and got easy bucket. It felt like raptors don't know how to stay on their man and defend. Low quality game by raptors and they got schooled

Hmm. Why would Boston trade Perkins to OKC. He played very well last year in the finals.

The trade also includes Nate to OKC, but no one really cares about a overly excited guy. Haha

Shaq will be good to go for playoffs which is really the only time he cares to play anyway. Everybody knows that, and the Celtics have really found a way to use him efficiently. If JO can get healthy, him and Kristic make decent back-ups and the C's are also hoping the Warriors buy out Troy Murphy's contract to add some depth at the PF/C position. Jeff Green is more useful for them as they can use him to guard the opposition's best wing player (LeBron, Wade, Kobe, etc.) This is HUGE for guys like Ray Allen and Paul Pierce because it allows them to save their energy for offense. It's the same reason the Lakers have Artest, but Jeff Green is great on offense too so he's probably 10x better....

That said, it's a move that had to be done for the Thunder as well. Yes, they lose their best perimeter defender but they finally get a much needed big body inside so that they can compete with the Lakers. Also, it's pretty dumb of you to state "no1 cares about an overly excited guy" about Nate Robinson. He adds a much needed spark off the bench for the Thunder.

Good point about green. But I don't think Shaq can play more than 24 mins so who is going to guard Howard Bynum Stoudmire?

As for Nate - "sparking the bench is really subjective". I don't see him do shit for the Celtics. Other than game 3/4 when Nate and Baby got lucky. Btw, who is going to back up Rondo? I know he has the energy to play 48 minutes...

Garnett can D up Amare and Shaq does a great job on Dwight, they will really only need him for about 25 minutes per game. Rondo will be backed up by Von Wafer and Delonte West.

Big game at 5pm: NYK Vs. Miami.

Miami has the bigger 3, but NYK has a better supporting cast. Will be interesting.

Yup, this is true. Perkins was not going to sign an extension with Boston because they don't have the money to give him. He will get much better offers elsewhere, so he would've left at the end of the season anyway, and the Celtics would get nothing in exchange. Another reason why this was a good way for them to go.

it was good but the injuries and the bad officiating in the last two quarters of game 7 irked me a little

Was it just lame hype bullshit from TSN to make us basketball fans stick around and watch the whole hour of SportsCentre? Lol they always separate the NBA highlights throughout the whole show instead of showing them all at once, they know we don't wanna watch 50 mins of hockey coverage
