what is media making a big deal on Heat's every single loss?...big 3 doesnt mean unbeatable

Ilagon 03-08-2011 12:56 PM

It's not every loss, just the ones that matter. They still have trouble with elite teams and how the hell do u give up a 24 point lead against the Magic?

Fact is, the Heat will continue to struggle unless someone other than the bron, wade, and bosh step up. Hopefully bibby can do something but I think the Knicks will have a better postseason run cuz of Billups.

Did you see the "celebration" they did at the beginning of the season? it's like they won the championship already.... Sure, James and Bosh are big acquisition but c'mon now....

And I know how the season isn't over but I will never forget james saying " we will win not 1, not 2, not 3, not 4, not 5, not 6 championships" and here they are crying in the locker room after a loss hahaha :fullofwin::fullofwin::fullofwin:

All the other teams need to do is shut down 1 of the 3 and they should be able to stop the heat..and the easiest to stop would be Bosh IMO

liu13 03-08-2011 01:07 PM

heat should play more up tempo, that's what turned the cavs into a 60+ win team

i would love to see melo and bron face off in the playoffs

411ken 03-08-2011 01:10 PM

Looks like Stan Van Gundy agrees with what I just said.... read this just now on tsn

"My suggestion would be if you don't want the scrutiny," the Magic coach was saying, "you don't hold a championship celebration before you even practise together. ... I think the players thought it was going to be easy and they were going to roll over everybody. It hasn't materialized that way."

liu13 03-08-2011 01:26 PM

miami would get the scrutiny regardless of how they introduced themselves

we haven't seen a team with 2 superstars since kobe/shaq

411ken 03-08-2011 02:05 PM

I still believe the media is tougher on them due to their premature celebration and LeBron's speech pretty much guarantee'ng they will win the championship everytime they are there.

If someone "guarantees" a win... all eyes will be on them and right now,it's on them...

If they were just "cool" about it and didn't celebrate like crazy.. ppl will just say "it takes time to gel and add pieces"... instead, they are getting the "they are choke artist that can't win close games or give up huge leads"

TRDood 03-08-2011 02:27 PM

Somehow I think the coach is to blame as well. He looks like an idiot on the sidelines. And who the hell tells the public that players are crying in the locker room?

Bring back Pat Riley, he's much calmer and can lead superstars.

(I don't know much about the Heat's history, so I might be ignorant here...)

First off, I do think it's quite obvious that the huge pre-season celebration was nothing more than a marketing ploy. Honestly, come on....

Secondly, who gives a shit about the media...The fact of the matter is that the Heat are only a close-out away from winning ball games. They still have plenty of time to figure out how to do that, and even if they don't, they would still have playoffs to figure out how to do that. They are losing their big games by less than 5 points. It's NOT a big deal...

Am I saying they WILL start to close out games or, at the very least, hold their big leads? No...But to go right ahead and say, "oh yeah stop one of these 3 and you have a win" like it's that easy is plain and simply ignorant. They have lost 14/20 games by 5 or less points...It's clearly not that easy, and the Heat are not that far from being able to win those games...

There's still plenty of time to learn to close out these games, and to count them out from Championship contention at any point during the season or even during playoffs for that matter is simply dumb.

It's ignorant and not ignorant at the same time.

Yes, you're right; Pat Riley is a guy who demands respect without saying a word. He can bring down LeBron's ego the same way Phil did with Jordan and Kobe.

At the same time, firing the coach at this point of the season is a sign of panic, and, in all reality, the Heat have no reason to be panicking...They have some adjustments to make down the stretch and it really doesn't seem like Spoelstra has made them. Maybe after this last streak of losses, he will start to make them.

Euro7r 03-08-2011 03:04 PM

The Cavs are probably LOL-ing watching Lebron lose :troll:

wasabisashimi 03-08-2011 03:41 PM

FAN night, heat better not lose a close one tonight, i am tired of media hype when they lose. Let them lose in peace.. anyways, should be a good game vs portland

I don't know, but an amateur coach trying to control 3 superstars? (well, 2 actually :P)

Firing the head coach is no problem, whoever doesn't perform in the team should GTFO. I think Lakers vs. Heat will be a very good finals series. I have yet to see the Lakers have an answer for LBJ, hopefully we can see that this year, when it really counts. However, if the Heat continue to struggle... then we won't see them going anywhere.

I think not being able to close out games is more worrisome than losing a 30 point blow out. Why? because playoffs (especially the finals are tight games)

Euro7r 03-08-2011 04:47 PM

The Heat are losing to the Blazers at half-time :troll:
