Speaking of defensemen, anyone else here miss Ohlund?

LsquareD 10-30-2009 10:59 AM

Yeah I kinda miss seeing #2 on the ice. It always sucks to lose a veteran!

willystyle 10-30-2009 11:08 AM

Not when we have Erhoff.

I do. I mean, he may be getting up there in age but I don't see us being worse off with him instead of having Erhoff or Schneider in place.

If it's a money issue, then I'll have to take it as it is as I'm not too well versed on the business side of hockey.

I agree too. A large part was probably money, I can't see how we would juggle another $3.5-4M/yr D-man.

Sports Action Best Bets for Friday, October 30th, 2009:

Two NHL games tonight, Scott likes the Blue Jackets to pull off a home upset. Take the BJ's over the Penguins without Evgeni Malkin. Columbus over Pittsburgh at 2.05. B-Mac likes a safer bet, take the Hawks over the Habs in Chicago at 1.50.

what are your picks for tonite?

Caps>Islanders
Sabres>Leafs
Rangers=Wild
Stars>Panthers

Avs vs. Sharks game is gonna be tough to call. Avs are ripping it up. Craig Anderson is on fire.

Daniel is getting the cast off his foot today YAY says its pain free. hopefully he can make it back sooner than expected. It would be nice to have him back theres way to many injuries that are plagueing the canucks right now.

Gh0stRider 10-30-2009 12:51 PM

ya, its a tough one.

avs won 4 in a row, sharks won 3 in a row

Harvey Specter 10-30-2009 12:54 PM

The Avs will cool down.

Hondaracer 10-30-2009 12:56 PM

The Canucks look for further reinforcements to help out their injury riddled squad by calling up centre Mario Bliznak.

Bliznak, 22, has recorded 5 points (2-3-5) in 13 games with the Moose this season. Last season with the Moose, Bliznak recorded 16 points (7-9-16) in 64 games played.

The 6’0”, 192 lbs. native of Trencin, Slovakia, was originally selected by Vancouver 205th overall in the 2005 NHL Entry Draft.

Top point getter in Manitoba, Sergei Shirokov, has been re-assigned to the Moose. Shirokov leads the Moose in goals and points (4-6-10) notching on average a point per game.
shirokov gone againn
at least this is a good chance to give prospecting rookies a chance to show their game in the NHL

I'm really curious to see how long Anderson can keep COL afloat. I need some consolation cause I didn't pick him one up in a pool when I had the chance lol.

WTF?

The monster is hurt?

Tell me it ain't so.

When the going gets tough, the tough get going. Let's hope the Canucks survive tonight's game. They just have to play smart. Any news on who's going to be between the pipes?

I would be surprised if it was anyone but Raycroft.
