Bieksa does need need to get back to the basics, I agree. How many of his points during his breakout year were a result of simple wristers from the point which hit the net?

I can understand why a D man would intentionally miss the net the odd time, but some games it seems like it's Bieksa's only play.

Daniel Sedin still out with broken foot



VANCOUVER (NEWS1130) - Hopes of Canucks forward Daniel Sedin getting back into the lineup tomorrow night have been put on hold. Sedin is back in Vancouver, with the team doctors looking at his broken foot again.

Daniel skated for two straight days on the road, but wasn't pain free. Sedin won't play when the Canucks face the Red Wings in Detroit on Thursday.

However, another key player is expected to return, as Roberto Luongo is slated to start against Detroit. And Jannik Hansen will play his first game of the season after getting injured in the preseason.

Bob Daly said that the NHL will most likely give Southern Ontario another team no matter what the Leafs have to say about it. The TSN panel thinks it might happen as early as 2015. I'm thinking along the lines of 2011/2012 because there is no way the NHL is going to sell the Coyotes to a owner or ownership group that's willing to keep the team in Phoenix and will most likely unload it to someone who wants to move it to Southern Ontario but I doubt it'll be Jim Balsillie but you never know. The biggest issue now for the NHL is to get the fans back for Phoenix but the fan base, if there was one, is basically gone and I doubt will ever return. You can't make money if you don't have a strong fan base.

Hopefully Detroit used up all its goals last night and then went out and partied hard afterwards so they're dead tired for tonight.... but I'm pretty worried considering they won 9-1 and we lost 6-1... not a good combo
