Plus, there are times Mr. " I'm Too Cool For School" has nobody in front of him and he still misses and shoots it into the corner. I think the Canucks are taught to close their eyes when shooting the puck. It gives them a bit more power in their shots. :haha::haha::haha:

spoon.ek9 11-23-2009 11:54 AM

i think it was bieksa last night who had a 2 on 1 break and missed the net by at least a foot.

bigassbooger 11-23-2009 01:52 PM

there is no excuse for how sucky bieksa sucks, he just sucks period.

Tim Budong 11-23-2009 02:01 PM

my argument is just for Edler to use his head on when to shoot it.
I could care less if it hits the net or hits traffic in front of the net
not the guy standing a meter infront of u

Not bashing the team but first thing came to mind after last night was.

Only Vancouver will make backups and nobody's be someone... (Niemi's 2nd career shutout, Bickell's 1st goal of the year ) lol.... Remember Curtis Sandford lol..

punkwax 11-23-2009 05:47 PM

^ Ya, it does feel that way sometimes.

When a team is on a few game losing streak, who is there to lift their spirits? Your Vancouver Canucks.

When a star player has been blanked in the last few games, who is there to break their slump? Your Vancouver Canucks.

The law of averages exist and the Canucks always seem to be on the shitty end of that stick. :lol

Also, if you ever want to break a streak, just play the Canucks. P.Kane broke his scoring streak last night playing against the Canucks.

Years ago, the Canucks were known as the Slump Busters. All a team had to do to break their losing streak, was to play the Canucks. They made all the teams look good.

Harvey Specter 11-23-2009 09:39 PM

Canucks will go on a winning streak starting sometime next month. I predict 6 wins in a row, 8 wins in 10 games.

spoon.ek9 11-23-2009 09:58 PM

no point in dwelling on past events. i just want the canucks to get back to winning games :)

Harvey Specter 11-24-2009 12:05 AM

Does anyone know why Ottawa doesn't sellout ganes? I've noticed no game this season has been a sellout, like tonights game was 87% full.

Euro7r 11-24-2009 12:10 AM

61 shots on goal against the NYI and Toronto still lost the game. Sad hahah.

Thats a pretty good question. The only thing that comes to mind is how its really not even in Ottawa. Its in Kanata which is like 20-30 minute drive from downtown Ottawa and there isn't a really good way to get down there without a car. I remember when I was in Ottawa and wanted to check out a Sens game that was a real turn off.

Cause the VLS section sucks! And the tradition of this thread had roots before a sports section was even available.

Yah, that's what I've heard and I've heard the road or highway going to the arena is only 2 lanes or something and people usually get stuck in massive traffic jams going and leaving from the game.

Hondaracer 11-24-2009 07:30 AM

When my parents were in Ontario they drove past the arena, my dad said there is litterally nothing around and the suburbs around there are all just small townships, no real core to fill the arena night in night out

I've been to 3 sens games, and yes the arena is out in the boonies in the middle of no where.. but there was busses that went there and everything.
The thing is, there are arenas and hockey teams EVERYWHERE in ottawa. people actually attend non-nhl hockey games out east.
