That Henry hand-ball is hilarious. It's so obvious.

Maybe the original Hand of God goal is somewhat excusable since it was blurry and there's no way to tell with the technology back then but c'mon, we have high fucking definition instant replay...

Harvey Specter 11-19-2009 05:34 PM

Leafs/Canes game is intense. Leafs blow 3-0 lead, Canes tie the game 4-4 and Leafs score with 23seconds left in the 3rd and now the Canes just scored and tied the game up again with 1.9 seconds left.

Hondaracer 11-19-2009 05:45 PM

at what point does the nickname "monster" get removed when you cant stop pucks worth shit? :/

edit* LOL @ Leafs!!!! hahahaha

fucking embarrassing, monster lost his jockstrap on those

MR_BIGGS 11-19-2009 05:51 PM

WOW, the Leafs just loss to the Canes after being up 3-0!!!! They are a complete joke of an organization!!

Anyone have this game on their oddset?? Having taken the shootout and some other game maybe Jackets beating Stars and you could have made some good money!

And for my 1000th post, I thought I'd add a comment someone made on the Leafs forum:

Quote:

This is quite possibly the worst hockey team I've ever seen.

They're simply not responding to Wilson. Last years team was miles better, yet we added Komisarek, Beauchemin and a goal scorer like Kessel. Yet we are much worse. How do you explain this atrocity???

For the first time in a few eeeks, I turned on a game to see this. What an utter embarassment. I simply wonder when the team gets to the point where pride starts to kick in. where these guys say enough is enough and they're going to start giving it all they've got. Because to this point, I see absolutely NONE of that from anybody but White and Kessel.

Disgusting that a lot of these guys are even being paid two cents to play this game. A 3-0 lead to quite possibly, the only team even close to being as pathetic and they blow it. Wilson simply cannot motivate this team to do any of the things they need to do in order to win. This guy needs to go along with half of this useless team. How horribly sad and pathetic. Wow. Time to turn them off again for a while. One game and already I'm embarassed for them.
:haha::haha:

PS: Ruutu and Jokinen just made some sick moves..

Harvey Specter 11-19-2009 05:52 PM

LULZ @ the Leafs. LULZ @ Ron Wilson. What a train wreck of a team. Now onto the Hawks/Flames game...

Not really racist! 11-19-2009 06:05 PM

LOL LEAFS CHOKE AGAIN

orange7 11-19-2009 06:24 PM

lawlage..

wellwood belongs in the leaf....... so many similarities..

Harvey Specter 11-19-2009 06:32 PM

Like they said on TSN, they won't make any changes in Toronto until the fans stop coming out to the games because right now they're still getting sell out games which is quite amazing for a team that sucks this bad.

Edit: Fuck me. Flames just scored.

that will never happen, there are simply too many fans willing to pay to see them no matter what the price and no matter how bad the team. even so, MLSE cares more about the advertising and tv deals. ticket sales are small potatoes. the only way i can really see them sending a message to ownership is for them to chase the suits right out of the building. make it impossible for them to do business and they will take their business elsewhere.

Harvey Specter 11-19-2009 07:11 PM

bahahahaha, flames down 6-1 end of the 2nd, bahahahaha.

Hondaracer 11-19-2009 07:13 PM

yea bad bad games lol

maybe Ron Wilson is just a shitty coach afterall? :/

Harvey Specter 11-19-2009 07:18 PM

I never liked Wilson. The problem imo is his attitude and I'm pretty sure most, if not all, the Leaf players have had enough with him. Have a attitude when you're a good team winning games but when you suck, learn to stfu and worry about motivating your players and winning games and be less worried about the media. I say fire Wilson and bring in Keenan.

I can't see Wilson getting fired this year. Maybe like a month or two after the Olympics he might get fired, but I doubt it. How bad would it look for Burke to fire Wilson. When Burke is the GM and Wilson the coach of the US Olympic team. Wilson is annoying though.

Harvey Specter 11-19-2009 07:28 PM

I think Wilson will be around next season. The excuse right now in TO is that the team is the "rebuilding" phase so the coaches aren't been blamed for the awful start.

Tim Budong 11-19-2009 08:29 PM

Is torts the the head coach of USA or is Wilson
becuz if its Ron Wilson, USA can kiss medals byebye

Well, Calgary blew a 5-0 lead... but it was against the Hawks.

Wow Ian White got screwed in that TOR/CAR game - called for a high-sticking double minor when it wasn't even him!

Yet another brutal call in the world of sports...

Yeah, Wilson is the head coach for US Olympic hockey team! :lol

Soundy 11-19-2009 09:24 PM

Ahhhh I finally understand... over the next three years, we'll see in increasing decline in the quality of officiating in ALL major sports leagues... until the entire pro-sporting world collapses on itself... Dec. 21, 2012. THAT'S what the Mayans were REALLY talking about!

kristianhay 11-19-2009 09:25 PM

Anyone else see this hit? Freaked me out when I saw him just drop.

Such an awkward way to fall...
how he fell on his knees first and then flopped on his back.

It would have seemed more natural to just fall forward instead when he was down on his knees.

Wow, that's rough. That hit happens all the time along the boards but the injury probably made the penalty.

Still...not right to hit a guy with his back to you that hard.

Harvey Specter 11-19-2009 09:53 PM

The respect level amongst some players is a disgrace. There are good, hard hockey hits and then you have dirty hits like this which imo have increased over the last couple of years. I still don't understand why the NHL doesn't hand out longer suspensions; wtf is a game or two. Make it 5 games like Keenan said which will send a clear message to all the players to watch their hits.

I dunno, I'm looking at the replays, and it looks like Methot (CBJ #3) had the puck on the boards and Neill was going after him and the puck - he almost had his back to Dorsett and probably didn't even notice he was there.

Edit: but of course, once people get an idea in their heads of what happened, that idea seems to stick everywhere. Like the infamous Bertuzzi Incident: everyone blames Bert for "suckerpunching Moore and driving his head to the ice, breaking his neck", but nobody ever thinks about the effect of SIX MORE AVS piling on top and what kind of damage THAT might have done to Moore. Considering Bert was a good, what, 230, 250? Get five or six more guys at minimum 200 lbs. each... that's upwards of **1400 lbs** squashing Moore under there. We're talking nearly *3/4 ton* of weight on the guy. Doesn't take a brain surgeon to realize that that might have a deleterious effect. But anytime I've heard it brought up (on sports talk shows, etc.), not only is the question dismissed, it's outright ignored - I've never heard it actually addressed by *anyone* in the league.

Naw, I think the hit was directed towards Dorsett. If Dorsett hadn't been there, there would be no reason for Neil to be going to where he went.

On another note, this is amazing.
