Bieksa has that offensive element that SOB cannot bring. as for backin shit up, SOB doesnt really do this anymore, neither does Bieksa, especially bieksa, its not always smart to fight and take yourself out of the game as a top4 Dman, thats what ppl like hordichuk are for, to jump in

yeah, thats true about SOB. can't wait for grabner to comeback (never thought i'd say that hah). as for demitra, i don't think we need him anymore.

Do we need grabner or demitra? to be honest, that checking line looks very good right now, especially the past two games.

Grabner wouldnt fit with the club at the moment, u cant really take out Wellwood, he is a very good faceoff guy(cheater) ahahah, Bernier brings the "size" and Hansen brings a bit of grit+speed to that 3rd line.

Grabner showed signs that he can backcheck a bit b4 he got hurt, but i cant see him anyways

Demitra will probably be slotted with Kesler/Samulsson and Raymond would end up back on 3rd being the speedy guy that will backcheck. Demitra can make a difference, especially when u saw him with Sundin and Demitra, they both can move the puck for Kesler pretty damn well.

Im not a big fan of Demitra, but he can play a key part for the team, look at the playoffs last year, the vets/old guys with experience all played key roles.

I think my lineup works pretty well, we all saw the chemistry with the speed line prior to his injury.

He had over 40 points last year, and about 10 of them were goals from what I remember. He hasn't been able to put the puck in the net as much this year, but he his assists totals are still pretty solid.

Did you start watching hockey this year or something?

The guy has had two 40+ point seasons, that puts him near Top 20 in scoring for D-men. He is pretty much on pace to get another 35+ points again as well. Goals may not be there, but he's racking tons of assists. Sure he can play better, but that can be said for the whole defensive core. If you give SOB the minutes Bieksa is playing guranteed you will see his faults and you would probably want to waive him.

Not too sure about the whole backing ish up remark either. SOB hasn't had a fight this year just tons of minors that lead to powerplays. I think even Bieksa had has some fights this year. So I'm not sure how he backs anything up.

Right now the guy that really needs to step up is Edler. He makes some great plays sometimes, but then he'll follow it up with a terrible shift or a give away. Guy needs to start playing like a $3M d-man.

that third line will get scored on again and again and again.

fobulaus 11-30-2009 02:29 PM

Also don't forget Bieksa is getting much less time on the PP due to the addition of Ehrhoff and Schneider.. Last season half his goals came on the PP... I think Bieksa will be able to match his 40 pt this year

Hondaracer 11-30-2009 03:04 PM

Ehrof, schneider, and edler should always come first on the PP depth chart before bieksa

Can't wait for the battle between Brodeur and Luongo....hopefully it's not a boring game.

MR_BIGGS 11-30-2009 04:04 PM

Anyone just see Ovie make a knee on knee on Gleason? He can't put weight on his knee and looks like Ovie is gonna get suspended.

pure.life 11-30-2009 04:05 PM

dumbass Keith Ballard thought Vokoun's head was a baseball

reminds me of the slash Halak received from his teammate in a Czech game... but obviously not as serious as the Vokoun incident

That's not karma. That's just the nature of physical games and physical players. Shit like this will happen, injuries will occur.

If Karma was real, what did Crosby do when he got injured? What did Malarchuk or Zednik do to get their throats cut?

411ken 11-30-2009 04:56 PM

All I can say is..... GET YOUR CAPITALS vs CANUCKS tickets now!!! LOL...I bet a bunch of scalpers now have broken hearts

Ronin 11-30-2009 05:19 PM

Ovechkin is one of the few players in the league that elevates a game to a must-watch. It would suck if he's gone long-term.

Hondaracer 11-30-2009 06:23 PM

capitals game on the 18th fuck.. he'll probably be aight

Tegra_Devil 11-30-2009 06:33 PM

Good win Flames Good win....well this at least proves that Rinne is gonna be Kippers backup for the olympics

bigassbooger 11-30-2009 07:35 PM

I don't think ovies gonna get a suspension

I highly doubt he'll play that game.. That's in 3 weeks or so..I'm sure the coaching staff/trainers are smart enough to rest him up. They are in good position right now to make the playoffs and they need this guy healthy.

I do agree about him playing makes it great. I went the first time he was here with teh Caps and it was worth every penny...hope he heals up so others can see this guy play...

Harvey Specter 11-30-2009 08:03 PM

I'm sorry but Ovechkin's gotten away with enough "borderline" hits and the NHL needs to suspend him. He's a great player and fun to watch but you to draw the line somewhere. On 1040 they said he might get 5-10 games because Daly has already warned him, I think he'll get a game or two.

411ken 11-30-2009 08:05 PM

I agree with these somewhat bias suspensions..

Saw TSN and heard that Matt Cooke got suspended 2 games or something for his hit while Mike Richards did the exact same hit with harder impact and got nothing....I bet if someone Knees Crosby/malkin/ovy or any other star will get 5 game suspensioni or something...
