So the nucks ran into a hot team coached under dave tippet. The very defensive minded coach that wanted his team to go out and bang to throw the canucks off. We also run into jovo and aucoin who knos how the twins play.

Some desperate fancy work caused by vancouver saw the yotes score two.

As for the shootout, well labarbra should have a good book of moves on the nucks.

Another case of underestimating the opposition and let the "weaker" team take all the momentum away from the past 3games

I haven't seen it yet, but apparently Phenuef just destroyed Kopitar in that game causing Murray to start yelling over to Suter. Gonna wait until sportsnet.

just watched the replay on TSN. phaneuf plastered kopitar! hah shiiit, good thing the guy is ok.

btw, i'm loving the free preview of TSN HD. makes watching highlights like 100x better.

Anyone else think Phaneuf should get suspended for that hit? No intention in playing the puck, also Kopitar didnt even have posession of the puck before, during or after the hit was made.

I think he'll get suspended and I think nismo_s13 is right, he must have been pissed that he didn't make team Canada.

If he does get suspended it will be because it was Kopitar he hit. If it was your regular, Darcy Hordichuk that was hit, life would go on.

Like it or not, if hits like that didn't belong in hockey, players like Phaneuff wouldn't be a bonafide NHLer, and guys like Delle Rovere wouldn't be repeat Junior Team Canada invitees.

As for this hit in particular, I don't understand how rules work. Players always hit each other on puck dump ins but as long as its not hard check, it never gets called. Same thing with forechecks. Seems like forechecking is legal if the recipient manages to stay on his feet.

Seems like penalties are dependent not on the act but how hard it was administered. This league is a fucking joke for now along with its 3 point OT rule. :rolleyes:
