People pay that sort of money and he can't even crack a smile?

Glad I didn't waste my time and money going.

Hondaracer 12-18-2009 09:22 AM

That "smile" he gave me for the pic was alot better than the look on his face when I first shook his hand

411ken 12-18-2009 10:17 AM

How was it to get to that signing? and you had to buy the pictures/jersey/etc??

I wish I could go to the game... I've seen them the first time they were here though...so I'd rather save some $$ at this point.

LOL you have to keep in mind Ovie was most likely really hung over and tired. They were out till dawn the night before for their rookie dinner. :haha:

bigassbooger 12-18-2009 11:01 AM

hopefully the whole team is still hungover so we win!

Hondaracer 12-18-2009 11:07 AM

Yea I know, I couldn't really care for his demeanor, I kinda feel like a goof taking a pic with him behind the table but I thought what the he'll he's Ovi and when am I gonna be in that position again? Lol

and yea 411ken, you had buy everything from the bay, he wouldn't sign other jersies etc ppl brought with them, more cause his "handlers" wouldn't allow it not because he was refusing it

for anyone that hasn't been to that Olympic store in the bay at pacific center you should check it out it's fucking huge and alot of nice stuff

True...but as a professional you should at least smile to show that you're enjoying your time there and knowing that people are paying just to meet you.

Linden was awesome when he came to our office. Signed a crapload of stuff for everybody and smiled and shook hands with every single one of us and there was at least a couple hundred people that day too :p

Tim Budong 12-18-2009 11:35 AM

yep
goin to game
and then hangin out after under the bowels of GM to meet the caps(if they show)
if not..pizza n xbox..

at the same time
swirling rumors of NHL 2k series has been dropped for good,
guess sending ovie thru NYC in a zamboni costed too much?

spoon.ek9 12-18-2009 11:38 AM

i hope it's a good night for the canucks. i'd like to see a hard fought win! even if some of them are still hungover lol..

How much did the Jersey and Photo cost you?

Greenstoner 12-18-2009 12:28 PM

i hope Crosby can sign my Tim Horton Gift card :D LOL... Crosby is good, but he doesnt have the personality like Ovie to be a super star

Minnesota Wild's equipment van catches fires and destroyed most of the players equipments.
No sticks or skates for tomorrows game

The equipment van for the Minnesota Wild caught on fire this afternoon in the parking lot of Scotiabank Place in Ottawa prior to the Wild's game against the Senators on Saturday.

The fire began at approximately 2:30pm eastern as the van was backing into Scotiabank place. Firefighters remained on the scene for about 40 minutes. Police say that there were no injuries however a significant amount of the equipment inside was destroyed. Police are still investigating the cause of the blaze.

It appears as though the Wild are now left without skates, sticks or equipment and will need to purchase completely new equipment before tomorrow's game.

Greenstoner 12-18-2009 01:01 PM

^ lol... might be a hardcore fan who done this

You'll have a hard time finding someone who's classier than Linden.

Oh shit - that's brutal. Skates are a hockey player's most important piece of equipment, and having to use brand new ones for a real game is gonna suck.

TSN just reported that all of Nick Backstrom's equipment were destroyed.
its gonna be hard to get used to the new pads and all.

Yup, thanks again dude! I'll be in 104. Which box are you in?

I was in the Best Buy Box last game and they had the seafood/steak spread going. It was fucking awesome!!!! Got too caught up in the food and drinking to concentrate on the game til the middle of the 1st though. I'm really happy I'm in the lower bowl for this one, so I can actually concentrate on what's going on in the rink.

BTW SLR w/ 18-55 lens is fine, right?
