Hope Campbell is OK.

As for Ovechkin, I never liked him. That hit wasn't a hard hit. More of a push, but at the same time, he didn't have to do that. The puck was long gone. Was there something else between these two prior to this? Earlier in the game?

Another reason why I like "Cry Baby" over "Rasputin".

cressydrift 03-14-2010 10:56 AM

Meh, only should have been a minor. Hope Campbell is out for the rest of the season/playoffs. Canucks rival losing key players is good news.

keitaro 03-14-2010 11:04 AM

Just caught the 3rd period of the caps and hawks game. Pretty intense game. caps was down 3 nothing at the start of the 3rd. Caps tied it up with 2 pp goals (5 on 3) and an even strength goal in 10min.

Now the game is in OT.

Game is on TSN.

keitaro 03-14-2010 11:05 AM

haha caps won, take that stupid hawks!

They have 14 goals in the last 3 games.

Ronin 03-14-2010 12:10 PM

Should he have let up a bit? Yes. Is it a penalty? Yes...a minor boarding call for sure. Guy has his numbers to you and the puck is gone, you give him a little nudge to let him know next time, he's fucked but you don't give him a massive push like that.

Is it a suspendable hit? No. I don't even feel like it was a super dirty hit either. Don't think it should've been a game misconduct.

Big deal, we have 14 goals in our last 3 games too (6 against Avs, 3 against Phoenix and 5 last night)! Suck it Calgary!!!

Luongos B-game will suffice

Samuelsson will score 2 goals, Burr will get 2 and the Sedins will get a couple points, maybe top it off with a goal from Kesler, Demitra ... or Ehrhoff

I'm sorry but as much as it's nice to beat rivals, hoping someone to be out for the season due to injury is just stupid..... just my opinion.

411ken 03-14-2010 01:21 PM

btw, noob question but does anyone know how much it is for the skytrain prepay for the ride home? is it 3.50??

thanks

saiko 03-14-2010 01:27 PM

prepay? they usually expire after an hour and a bit..

If you want to skip the line up - maybe buy the day pass? 9$ though. Because either way, if you purchase fare savers you need them validated before hopping on the train.

punkwax 03-14-2010 01:28 PM

Bieksa played well last night. If Mitchell returns for playoffs we're a dangerous team. Not that we aren't already, but we lack a true shutdown Dman. With Mitchell back and if our forwards are able to keep playing like they are now, this could really be our year.

For hockey games or any major event for that matter there are transit people that will sell you your return trip ticket. It is the same as if you were to buy it after the event.

i thought he played well too -- it looked like he was pinching at good times, and sound defensively.

Hondaracer 03-14-2010 03:45 PM

id rather see bieksa play like that then constantly taking risks and playing his ususal nonchelant way

edit* sweet, got tickets to the game tonight :D

Downie tries to take out Crosby's knee

I hate Crosby, but that was ridiculous & idiotic by Downie, puts his knee and weight down on the back of Crosby's knee and twist, ouch.

that was very dirty... disgusting. It was a blatant attempt to injure Crosby. I wonder if the NHL is going to investigate into it.

pure.life 03-14-2010 04:46 PM

What a ridiculous piece of shit Downie is
No respect whatsoever for his colleagues let alone a fellow Canadian.
This is no different from a slide tacke in an attempt to injure in a soccer match. Crosby's leg could've snapped and his season would have been just that.

It's sickening to see a trend in the NHL that brainless grinders and enforcers are taking over the game with sheer stupidity. What strikes me the most is the lack of respect these players have for each other.

Vansterdam 03-14-2010 04:47 PM

^ thanks for that i totally missed it lol

HonestTea 03-14-2010 05:03 PM

I really hope that piece of shit Downie gets suspended..that was fucking dirty as hell..
