What a disgrace.

AzNightmare 02-14-2010 03:06 PM

hmm... Brodeur pulled yesterday... Luongo pulled today...

Sigh..

MG1 02-14-2010 03:43 PM

Sounds like I didn't miss much. Although, I would have loved to see our god-like goalie get pulled. 2-6 loss, LOL. Oh well, the Canucks are the Canucks. I still love them. Like the Canadian Olympic Team, full of promise, but nothing to show for it in the end.......... so far.

Gh0stRider 02-14-2010 05:43 PM

2 goals and 2 assists for getzlaf.

Not really racist! 02-14-2010 05:45 PM

listening to the radio, it sounded like Lu showed up for today's game, but the rest of the team didn't. Second period, it took a while before they got their first shot on net. At one point, the shots were 12-0.

But then again, a few of the goals were as a result of team break down and Lu cheating.

I saw the highlights (lowlights) of the goals on canucks.com and there was one where Luongo was doing a Turco impersonation again, which led to a goal.

Anyway..................

the 'Nucks get a break. Hopefully, it'll do them some good.

Road trips are a bitch, but if any team should be used to it, it's them.

CRS 02-14-2010 06:31 PM

I cringe everytime Luongo tries to puck handle...

teaoh 02-14-2010 06:35 PM

Pretty disappointined with Edler's interference right after when we scored our first goal. That's when we started to sink lol. Hopefully the break does good for us.

Harvey Specter 02-14-2010 06:50 PM

Overall it was a disappointing road trip but I agree that it look like the Canucks had no gas left this afternoon which is understandable when you've been playing on the road for 2 weeks.

We still have another long road trip after the games but the Canucks will need to step up and play much better and not piss away points.

HonestTea 02-15-2010 03:06 AM

Greenstoner 02-15-2010 09:15 AM

The whole back end played pretty bad, but hard to blame anyone when we are playing our 6th-7th D-man top minutes. I really can't wait till Mitchell and Bieksa come back so we can scratch Rome and Lukowich. I'm liking Baumer over Lukowich right now though.

cctw 02-15-2010 10:50 AM

^we definitely need Mitchell but Bieksa I'm not so sure....he breaks down once every few games or so...

i think i'd rather keep Lukowich and trade Bieksa before the deadline

MR_BIGGS 02-15-2010 10:59 AM

How can some people say it was a disappointing road trip? Sure they only came back .500, but looking at the standings today, they still have the division lead, and they went .500 without Mitchell who is their shutdown Dman. If the Avs had pulled in front of them, maybe the Habs game would be the one I look at as the disappointing game. We need to get some bodies back on the D line.

I thought Kesler, Samulson and Demitra looked pretty solid.

because it's vancouver, where a loss = panic.
going .500 on a long ass road trip like this is a good record

Here is Demitra expressing what all of us fans were feeling during that game:

It's a disappointment because this was suppose to be the "easier" half of the 14 game road trip. 5 of the remaining 6 on the road trip are against playoff teams and they will play 6 games in 9 nights, with 2 back to backs. One can only hope they go .500 over these next 6.

raygunpk 02-15-2010 01:34 PM

but for some reason, the canucks get owned by shitty teams and beat good ones.

The only reason why we're in a tie with the Avs is because a. we had that great run at home and b. the Avs haven't been as hot as they were earlier in the season. And the reason why I said it was a disappointing record trip is because the Canucks should be doing much better on the road overall and not coming back with a .500 record. Take a look at the away records of the other teams leading their division and even teams below them and look at ours, it's a disgrace and needs to improve before going into the playoffs.

Tim Budong 02-15-2010 03:49 PM

It seems that having 7 olympians shows that most of them jsut wasnt into the game.
regardless, yes it was suppose to be "easy", but the travel was most likely NOT easy
