Oh well......... not Luongo's fault when nobody on your team scores on the shootout.

DsZ24 04-06-2010 08:37 PM

Pretty pathetic tries by the canuck shooters in the shootout. One positive tho, the flames are out of the playoffs haha

LsquareD 04-06-2010 08:37 PM

Oh well. Good news is that Calgary is out of the playoffs :lol

Great, another shitty game by Bieksa.. Can't score, can't pass, can't defend, can't even pinch the damn puck

How is that a pathetic effort when anderson played every single canucks shooter with so much poise?

People should stop being raging fans whenever something doesnt go your way in a game. Losing is part of a game, and saying "Luongo sucks" or "Bieksa is Shit" whenever they make a bad play or is having a bad day is just pathetic. They're humans too, just like us all.
I personally thought they did well tonight but the Aves were out strong since they were desparate for the points and Anderson was def their star by standing big and tall in front of their net. There was nothing Demitra or Wellwood could've done during the shootout since Anderson was on top of them without budging an inch. Kesler could've scored that one but that's too bad.

Srsly guys, stop with the raging

i didn't watch the whole game but i did see him make a brilliant stick-lift on what looked like a sure breakaway

SkinnyPupp, any comments about this article?

He basically gave up the puck on the blueline and bailed himself out

You remember wrong. Luongo was a rock that year.

Date GA GAA SA SV SV%

Apr21 2 2.01 30 28 0.933

Apr13 2 2.09 27 25 0.926

He's not playing well now, just average. Giving up 30 shots against pretty much guarantees he lets in 3. His SO numbers are down quite a bit this season too.

It's up to him to adjust to the different team in front of him and the book on him. The team's nowhere near as tight. And everyone knows they're not gonna score shooting low. He's probably seeing more tips + screens and high corner shots this year than any other year.

Poor Calgary. Looks like Iggy's play is on the decline now, pretty much invisible down the stretch. Reminds me of Naslund near his end with the Canucks haha.

I think the canucks can learn a thing or two from this LOL

He still got the highest votes out of any goalie ;)

The most interesting thing to me regarding both of these polls is that players are VERY reluctant to call goalies overrated. It shows the respect they have for the position.

So he's the most overrated goalie in the NHL. Close 'nuff :)

I was listening to Flames radio show last night and people calling in said that iggy should be traded because he deserves to play for a cup contending team and he his time as a Flame is pretty much up. It's going to be interesting to see what changes happen during the off season for the Flames but the man between the two Alberta teams, the Oilers are looking pretty damn good going into next season with some of their young talent and their draft pick compared to the Flames roster.

I don't mind the current matchups:

SJ - COL
CHI - DET
VAN - LA
PHX - NSH

Looks like the top 4 seeds are set, while the bottom 4 can still move around.

He should be traded along with every other asset they have. They need a complete rebuild like the Leafs started this year. They have no draft picks, no really good prospects and some past prime guys who have zero shot of winning a cup and a slim chance of making the playoffs over the next couple years. The window of having a shot to win closed a few years ago for them.

I kind of hope they don't rebuild because it's nice to see them suck but if they want to fix there franchise going forward it needs to happen. Fire the Sutters and President Ken King. Allow the new staff to evaluate the way they want to build it and start the rebuild.

I like this as well... I'm glad the we "lost" last night as I'd rather see the AVs in the playoffs than the Flames.

Now, if that's the matchups.. let's hope we get by the 1st round against the queens and hope for Colorado/Nashville/Detroit to move on as well :)

DuhDang 04-07-2010 09:03 AM

anyone able to get tickets for playoffs
