it would be awesome if Cloutier signed with Detriot and we played them in the playoffs......

I can see it now....Elder busting up center ice, takes a blast from a little over center ice and he SCORESSSSSSS!!!!

Blah_Teggie 09-05-2009 09:57 AM

Maybe it's cuz the Wings think they can save money by having goalies who don't have their masks painted. Eg Osgood and now Cloutier. I wonder how Cloutier can look Lidstrom in the eye when he was almost single handely responsible in killing his career.

Noir 09-05-2009 10:49 AM

Cloutier; The goalie where a 3 goal lead with 20 minutes to go is not considered safe.

:lol

Well, I'm glad to see him back on track... He had it pretty rough after the whole fiasco and I'm glad he's getting another crack at the NHL.

winson604 09-05-2009 11:51 AM

The key here is and I quote "the 33-year old Cloutier, who was out of hockey last season, contacted the club to inquire about a tryout"

awww

Not really racist! 09-05-2009 12:59 PM

Oh yeah, I forgot about that one... We were up 2-0 in that series too, after winning both games in DET.

Maybe Cloutier will fight Lidstrom during practice?

Hondaracer 09-06-2009 02:25 PM

Bertuzzi and cloutier reunited

rb 09-06-2009 02:45 PM

^ for now. The Red Wings are not going to sign Cloutier. I mean unless Ken Holland REALLY wants a new project after making Osgood look like that good all those years.

When's the first televised game? Any pre-season games on?

I can't believe I survived so long without watching my Canucks.

I can't believe I survived so long without watching my Canucks.

Oct 1 against Calgary is on CBC. That is the first game of the season.
Sept 14 against the Islanders will be on TV. Not sure what channel yet. I think it is Sports net Pacific.

I saw a guy walking near SFU with his Canucks jersey on. I guess you are not the only one hungry for Canucks hockey.

woob 09-06-2009 04:23 PM

Mon Sep 14, 2009 Islanders Canucks (Terrace, BC) 7:00 PM NHLN-CA, NHLN-US(HD), SNET-P(HD)

Sat Sep 26, 2009 Canucks Flames 6:00 PM TSN2, NHLN-US(HD)

So far those are the only two games listed as televised on the pre-season schedule

http://canucks.nhl.com/club/schedule.htm (select "Pre-Season" from the drop-down menu)

Gonna order cable this week lol I just moved into a new place so I didn't bother till hockey season rolled around. I have a 52" 1080p bla bla lcd. I dunno if I should get the HD basic or HD plus. The diff is $60 or $70 per month.

oh wtf i found the channel guide.. the HD plus has TSN1, TSN2, and SNET Pacific. Why don't they offer those channels on the HD basic. haha i guess i answered my own question. I have never ordered digital cable before so I was wondering how it works when I want to order a PPV game ?

Do both offer the digital music channels? i can't seem to find it on the shaw website..

trancehead 09-06-2009 04:53 PM

You go into guide, and after clicking on the show, instead of being able to watch the show straight away, it will prompt you to "buy". At which point you select "Buy" and the video will start (and your CC will be charged). Keep in mind, though, that PPV for CanucksTV doesn't start until like RIGHT at 7:0x pm so if you don't have video for the first few minutes after you buy the broadcast (say if you buy at 6:58), dont worry and wait the couple of minutes.

bossxx 09-06-2009 05:29 PM

^ cool thanks for the tip. I want to have ppl over, drink beer and watch HNIC lol good life

Harvey Specter 09-06-2009 05:31 PM

That's the game that Terrace hosts as winner of the "Kraft Hockeyville" competition last season. They get a shitload of investment in local rinks and minor hockey, too. Fair dinkum deal.

It doesn't charge your CC directly; it just adds it to your Shaw bill the next month.

You usually get the PPV channel for free right up until the game starts, then it goes black and gives you a "Do you want to order this program" prompt.

Our team looks fucking good. Check this shit out.

What makes them think Kesler is going to switch to Right Wing and that Raycroft will be the backup? LOL

I love our defense now.
