This list is of the legal methods of watching online streams of Canucks games this season for users within North America, specifically Canada for CBC and TSN games. European users are encouraged to check out and research the advantages and disadvantages of ESPN360. A handful of Canucks games will also be streamed on Yahoo Sports for US users, the schedule for which is announced monthly. As per the board rules: Remember, there are many ways of hooking up your laptop to a television (HDMI cord, XBox360, PS3) without loss of quality. Team1040 also streams audio live every game. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- General Information From what we saw last year, CDC streams are fairly high quality with minimal connection issues. The support for the streams is very effective; often there is a forum thread for troubleshooting where questions get answered very quickly. They are accessed directly from the homepage of Canucks.com. Restrictions TBA Upcoming Canucks.com Pre-Season Streams Code: DATE TIME (PT) HOME AWAY LOCATION BROADCAST ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- General Information If you are located out of British Columbia or Yukon and would like to watch Canucks games online, NHL Gamecenter Live is your best bet. Previously called "NHL Center Ice Online", the user interface and video quality was improved drastically last year. While not HD quality, it is very crisp and clear, easily watchable fullscreen on a 27" monitor. Unless your internet connection is poor, video lag and connection problems are non-existant, except perhaps on single day per year that they allow anybody to use it for free to test it out. Restrictions NHL Gamecenter Live does not have rights for national broadcasts or regional broadcasts if the user is located within that specific region. Therefore, blackouts occur if: -The user is located within the region of the regional broadcast (ie. BC for Sportsnet Pacific Games) -The game is nationally broadcasted (ie. TSN and CBC games - totalling 26 of the 82 games this eyar) Benefits With Gamecenter Live you get to watch any NHL game you want, in high quality, that does not fall under the above restrictions, including Canucks Pay Per View games. You can watch 4 at one time, there are live stats, and some games have alternate camera angles. You can also watch any NHL game in the past four years on the Gamecenter Live archive. A brief promotional video introduction to Gamecenter Live can be found here. Cost NHL Gamecenter Live is $24.95 a month or $199.00 for the season. Last season, there were many promotions available to get a cheaper price before the season starts. Read Gamecenter Live's FAQ before purchasing. FAQ 1. Which feeds are shown for Canucks games on Gamecenter Live? Half of them are the Canucks feeds and half of them are the other teams' broadcasts. While some of the American commentators are crappy (Nashville, LA, etc), a lot aren't (Sabres, Rangers, etc), and it's actually really interesting to hear opinions on the Canucks that aren't biased and inside perspective on the other team. Who knows, maybe they'll implement a choice of which broadcast you get this year... they haven't announced changes to the service yet. 2. I live in <insert outside of province city here>, but my billing address is in Vancouver. Will I be able to watch Gamecenter Live without blackouts? Yes. They set restrictions based on your IP address by which you are connecting, not your billing address. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- General Information All 15 CBC games this season will be streamed online on CBCsports.ca*. Last season, these streams were medium quality and occasionally choppy. Improvement is hoped for. *CBC live streams are restricted to Canadian residents only. CBC Canucks' Stream Schedule Code: DATE TIME (PT) HOME AWAY ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- General Information The TSN online stream schedule has not yet been released. Last season, only 3 of the 10 Canucks games on televised on TSN were scheduled to be streamed online, 2 of which were actually shown; more streams are expected this season. The streams were medium quality and are archived after the game.* *TSN live streams are restricted to Canadian residents only. TSN Canucks' Stream Schedule TBA. You can see the Canucks games being televised on TSN here. |
Fuck I can't wait!!!!!!!!!!!! |
Does anybody have Center Ice for Shaw? The one where you get to watch most of the games? How is that? I had it for Bell ExpressVu before and it was pretty sweet, just wondering if it's any better/worst with Shaw. |
I don't know about Center Ice but Shaw seem have issues with Canucks PPV games last year. |
^^ fuck yeah I remember missing ~5 mins of a PPV game last year.... Bitched at Shaw and they gave us the game for free. They were cool about it but still, it was pissing. |

It's awesome that he's already looking at schools for his gf. Really shows that he wants to be here and is willing to put in the effort to stay. Good to see some russian kids stepping away from the greedy russian stereotype. |
