Gutsy but stupid. Should have scratched him for a fully healthy player. They were facing elimination and put in an injured player who wasn`t hitting or shooting well. Terrible coaching decision.

If not, at the very least... dress a 7th Dman.
That was just retarded on AV's decision.

It was extremely idiotic for him to NOT dress a 7th D. It was clear that Salo was playing injured.

Blonde looks WAY better.

Pigtail Sedin girl is dressed like some happy hardcore raving slut.

Did the Canucks salute the fans by raising their sticks? I didn't see it on TV, maybe they did live?

anyone hear about willie's status? I haven't heard of anything, i was seriously forgetting he was even still a canuck.

Makes me wonder if his concussion may be career ending, or is he just on the D/L?

I heard on the radio last week that he hasn't been around the team since he got injured even though he's doing ok now which is really odd for a guy like Willie. I don't think he'll back as a Canuck.

Nope, Luongo booked it straight to the dressing room after the handshake and everyone else pretty much followed. Salo threw his stick over the glass for a fan on the penalty box side but I think that was about it.

That's pretty low and not classy at all from the team. I guess the sell out streak, overpriced tickets and massive comminity support isn't enough to get a bloody salute from a bunch of underachieving, over paid players. The fans that remained should have boo'd the entire team off the ice but I did like the fact that the fans jeered Lu after the 4th or 5th goal.

Yup, I'm still pretty pissed about that. People started leaving after the 5th goal, but more than half the fans remained to cheer and chant the rest of the way. Sure, there was a few boos, but who can blame some fans for being upset having to pay for such a crappy game

palepilsenpin0y 05-11-2010 11:39 PM

*sigh* I guess the only cup the Canucks were able to get this year was the one Sami Salo was wearing...

spoon.ek9 05-11-2010 11:42 PM

you guys think montreal will be able to pull off another upset tmrw? i'm definitely going to watch this game.

If Canucks had the chance they should sign this guy, not because of the history but because hes a strong power forward, canucks now are pretty average guys, we need moar beef.

and GET RID OF ALBERTS RIGHT AWAY!

DanHibiki 05-12-2010 12:06 AM

Hell NO to Bertuzzi.

I can't believe you guys are even saying this.

Do you guys not remember how everyone so sick of him floating around? Not back checking and his weak attempts and board play? Dumb penalties?

He was the scapegoat of 2005-06.

If he was putting up big numbers then it wouldn't be so bad but his last year was the beginning of his demise and he never regained that dominate play of his.

I never want to see him in a Canuck jersey again.

LUUUUUUUU 05-12-2010 12:08 AM

need to get Dan Hamhuis and Zbynek Michalek

S60R 05-12-2010 12:08 AM

Like I said, should of started Raycroft. Lu is clearly passed his prime and we will only fail again and again with him.

Meh, they both look like sluts. Otherwise they wouldn't be wearing such short skirts. But the asian one has a nasty sense of style with those ugly socks.
(I think the pigtail might actually be from the girl's hair in the background)

Never knew people cared so much about a salute. But maybe the jeering was why they didn't care. Maybe too caught up in their own disappointment and forgot to salute the fans... either way, I don't know how it's such a big deal. Unless prizes are given out during the saluting session??

You're past your prime in posting intelligent things. And you only have 10 posts in your "career" so far.

I wish the Canucks would do that. Lots of other teams skake a circle around the ice and raise their sticks. I don't think I've ever seen the Canucks do it

OTG-ZR2 05-12-2010 12:38 AM

We're never going to win with Lu in net.

The guy has achieved untouchable status in the Franchise and his work ethic will never be the same as 06/07 where he had something to prove: "If only he played for a Play Off contending team."

Alaign Vigneault would rather throw under the bus, either the whole D corps, Wellwood who plays 3rd line minutes, or your enforcers like Hordichuk for not being so offensively savvy before he even mentions a whif about Luongo. If ever.

The guy currently has absolutely no team accountability and I don't really see it developing either in the future. Milbury and Hrudey hit the nail on the head.

It's a respect thing; fans support the team throughout the season no matter what and the most a team can do is the salute their fans at the end of the season. I remember the Canucks saluting the fans couple years ago when they didn't make the playoffs and so far all the teams during this years playoffs who've lost at home have saluted their fans. Hell, if Ovie can skate around with his stick up after been eliminated by a 8th place team, I'm sure the Canucks can overcome their lose and raise their sticks for a few seconds.

It's not end of the world that the Canucks didn't salute the fans but I personally found it really disappointing.
