Where did you buy this one? And how much?

I got it from basegear.com during their black friday sale. It was about $390 - 5% paypal cashback promo.

i have a sidewinder and it doesnt have that logo on the front, but it does say arcteryx on the sleeve.

It's their most recent revision of the Sabre, as seen here - Sabre Jacket - Revised / Men's / Arc'teryx

The old Sabre SV had a giant ARCTERYX logo on the left chest which I found distasteful. There is the bird on the left sleeve but it isn't too gaudy........hopefully. Haven't actually received it yet. If you look on eBay these go for around $350-400 every so often (there's a Tungsten colored one on sale IIRC), but I wanted a black in small so I was willing to pay for the specifications.

Also... with free shipping... does that mean I can place 1 item per order to avoid duties? LOL

wrt Asos, I have to say their tees fit me very well, more flattering than a lot of tees have. I'm thin - 6'0" / 160lbs but they hug the arms and accentuate the chest area so they do not make me look like a stick. I would recommend.

On a side note, can anyone recommend a brand/place locally to buy a pair of cedar shoe trees?

what do you use to oil your boots?

has anyone purchased a peacoat from this company before? and thoughts on the 8 button vs 6 button jackets.

You can purchase Sterling of Boston peacoats from Wright Mariner in Vancouver. Or you can order them from Armynavydeals, they currently have a 30% off coupon code (ty30) I ordered the Classic Military Style Peacoat from them, it kept me warm but I found the cut to boxy, was going to order the Navigator but I found a great deal on one from J Crew.

Do you know how much it cost at Wright Mariner? and since you have one was the fit true to size? Im a 36 suit jacket and not sure if i should get the same for the coat.

I remember a few people talking about uniqlo's online store a while ago... did a quick search and couldn't find anything :S... but anyone ever get their online store to ship to Canada?

woob 11-29-2012 11:40 AM

They don't ship to Canada, and you even need an American billing address, but I think if you call/email they can manually authorize a Canadian credit card.

Post 23 & 24 in this thread.

I bought the container of Red wing boot oil that has a brush attached to the lid. I think it cost like $30 at the Kingsway store across from Metrotown. It's probably not worth it but I wanted to avoid the hassle/mess of having a separate brush. I'm not sure what type of hair is in the brush... never bothered to ask.

Hondaracer 11-29-2012 08:46 PM

the red wings boot oil is almost more like mollasses than liquid, is this normal for boot oil?

HondaGuy 12-02-2012 06:28 PM

KCNY zipup dress sweater in black... just loving their branded style lol...

Shipping with FedEx/UPS/DHL = :gay:

Unless you pay the premium for the shipping fees that include brokerage, taxes, and duties, it is never worth shipping via FedEx, UPS and DHL. I always call the store whether they can ship via USPS and if so, it's hit and miss when they will charge you. If they do, $5.00 flat rate brokerage and your applicable taxes/duties. None of this $25 brokerage fee nonsense.

Fuck FedEx/UPS/DHL. :2finger:

unit 12-03-2012 11:23 PM

yah if i cant get it usps or canada post then im not ordering it

Not "recently" purchased but within this fall semester I managed to haul a bit of stuff:

PJ 12-04-2012 04:48 AM

That's what I call a practical haul.
