what the fuck???? i'm so pissed, if we don't beat Russia in the quarter finals, no medal at all for Canada. After three games, Russia is playing better than Canada, if we continue to take penalties, the result may be another loss. |

I think it was Kypreos who said it, the Canadians weren't moving their feet for most of the game. Despite this, we outplayed the US and should have won. Miller outshone Brodeur badly. Iginla should've gone roof in the dying seconds to tie it, Perry should've played the fucking puck instead of Kes in our zone with an empty net. Lu gets the start next game. How fucking nice would it feel to ride LUUUU for the rest of the tournament and win Gold? It ain't over yet. |
what's with some of the sore loser comments in here? i pretty much only caught the 3rd round but even with the recaps it seemed like a fair game. |
|
had to be Kesler for the open net goal :( |
International hockey is faster compared to the NHL and it seems to me that Brodeur can't handle the speed of the game. Also the US team did a good job of not letting Brodeur play the puck by covering the boards. I'm pretty Lu will get a chance to start on Tuesday but I think if Canada does win vs. Germany Brodeur will get the next start. |

experience is overrated, always go with skill. theres alot more deserving canadians that should be on this team. i gotta agree with some of the ppl here.....bro was great in the past and will probly go down as the greatest goalie ever but Lu is a better goalie overall right now. russia beats sweden for gold. thats my prediction |
US did their homework on Brodeur and pressured his ass. It's hard to expect Babcock to pull him so early, but damn - it should've been done. Did anyone else notice how slow Pronger and Neidermeyer were with the puck? Good god that was frustrating. 3 penalties in the 3rd, wtfh. Talk about meltdown. I'm pretty sick of all the talk about pressure as an excuse. |

any riots yet |

so a team with not that much firepower can put offensive pressure on bro causing turn overs, so put him up against an even more dangerous scenario VS russia? As long as Luongo doesnt get pulled VS germany i think he has a good chance to start vs russia |
we lack chemistry thats all. any riots yet |
my highlight of the night was when crosby crashed in to the net and the commentator said: Crosby...the only thing Canada seems to be able to put in the net. dam that commentator but it was still :haha: |
I'm not worried at all. It's not like we lost badly...we outshot them. They really only should've scored twice on us... the other 2 goals (not counting the empty net) were Brodeur's fault. Batting the puck, the fail poke check... if he had not done that we would've came out on top. Since Lu will be in next game we will do fine. Even if Bro gets the start against Russia, I'm sure Babcock and the rest of his teammates have been hounding his ass for overplaying the puck tonight and he'll stick to doing what he does best in net. |

coworker of mine yelled "shut the fuck up you asswipe" to the TV when he heard that |
If they win with luongo against Germany and put brodeur back in net for Russia I'm going to be pretty pissed. Brodeur had his chance and as luongo doesn't play like shit vs Germany he should get to play the rest of the way. Posted via RS Mobile |
^ agreed I'm sure luongo can take us all the way...so long as there's no shootout lol |
^ That's what I'm afraid of. Getting a shootout while having Luongo at net is iffy. |
