Oh don't worry, I'm heading out into the thick of it soon. Got my post-hockey mid-day nap done and now I think I'm going to head up into the hills.

they love sensationalizing the weather due to the group of smart-car driving, fixy riding hipster fucks they appeal to. However, weatheroffice.gc.ca says the same:

Metro Vancouver

Snowfall warning for
Metro Vancouver continued

5 to 15 cm of snow is forecast for today.

This is a warning that significant snowfall is occurring in these regions. Monitor weather conditions..listen for updated statements.

Another Pacific frontal system will move across the South Coast today and produce more snow over the region. Over East Vancouver Island and the Southern Gulf Islands a total of 10 to 15 cm of snow is expected today while over remaining regions 5 to 10 cm of accumulation is expected. Late this afternoon or early this evening milder Pacific air will invade and cause the snow to change over to rain in most areas. During the change over localized freezing rain is possible over the Lower Mainland and the Fraser Valley.

fliptuner 02-24-2014 11:37 AM

This is bullshit

Spoiler!

Jmac 02-24-2014 12:25 PM

We got about 6" here and still falling at a decent rate. It's pretty warm (5 degrees), so it may turn to rain at some point.

My GF just sent me a pic from her place in Shawnigan Lake and she's got what looks like a foot of snow there, could only get halfway up the driveway because her front bumper was acting as a plow.

boostfever 02-24-2014 03:15 PM

coming down and finally sticking in north van.

m3thods 02-24-2014 03:33 PM

Newton Surrey is still getting dumped on (all day). It's sticking, but looking at 132nd it appears at most 2-5 cm's are sticking.

Xu.Vi 02-24-2014 04:53 PM

Just shoveled my walkway an hour ago...looks like i'm going out at it again in a bit :yuno:

Mr.HappySilp 02-24-2014 05:20 PM

Doesn't seem to be sticking in Burnaby.

evlee 02-24-2014 05:23 PM
