It was basically a white out the first half of my drive this morning. It was a struggle to see at more than 40 km/h. Then it cleared up and turned to rain for the second half.

Hai not why transit was so bad during rush hour. I left around 6am. Caught the #123 about 10mins late got to skytrain and everything is fine. Not sure how/why the bus would get delay after.

I threw my studded winters(car and tires originally from the interior) on yesterday only for the snow to not stick to the roads in Aldergrove/Langley.

if today is any indication, i have my doubts the cities will clean it up before the morning commute for monday :mad:

Bought a set of michelin as3+ for my sti this summer and have been waiting for snow to try them out in.
Based on what little snow we had today, I live in coquotlam btw, they have been great. Definitely not compared to my snow tires, but for around town and less than half feet of non packed snow, they're awesome. Great stopping traction as well.

So glad I'm not working today. Bus service is a mess everywhere and I would just end up being pulled over on the road drinking a nice coffee while getting paid to watch the chaos LOL

This year I finally got winter tires for a 11 year old SUV - so I hope its worth the investment! I have young kids, so you can't put a price tag on their safety.

In the event of an accident, there's always the possibility that ICBC won't cover you if they decide that the lack of winter tires was a contributing factor...
