are there any good "touchless" car washes that won't screw up the paint?

even somewhere just to spray on soap and rinse?

need to keep my truck clean

thumper 12-14-2017 11:26 AM

i've been going to this one:

Car Wash Burnaby BC | Car Wash Near Me | Autoxpress

but don't bother with the expensive packages. just stick to the two cheapest/underwash options.

and if you are expecting miracles like after offroading you will be disappointed. i saw one truck go in for a basic wash that was covered in mud and it came out looking no better than before.

I can’t wait for Washworld in Coquitlam under the overpass, next to Toys R Us, to open.

EDIT: Not Washworld. Shine Auto Wash.

EDIT: Not Washworld. Shine Auto Wash.

If you really can't wait there's the ExpressWash on Lougheed near Shaugnessy, their prices are similar to Shine's

Thanks, but I avoid that area like the plague. Crazy traffic.

IKEA, Princess Auto, KMS Tools, Lee Valley, Hard Rock Casino, Winners, Superstore, etc. That’s my go to area for shopping.

I do have to agree about how much of that saline solution gets on your car, though. After two weeks I decided to wash my car.

Well... power washed it, at least. She's still dirty, but at least you can see the original colour now.

Best part of molasses is its used by T model guys to remove rust and there are reports of pitting on metal if you leave it on too long.

are you living in the LML? I saw a late model X5 yesterday on hwy 1, it was supposed to be white but was absolutely tar-black in the rear like your's.

I'll take smokers' lungs-on-wheels over driving on this city's unplowed roads any day of the week though :moderatorban:

Weather network calls for snow after Christmas to New Years

Not sure how accurate that is

thumper 12-17-2017 08:49 AM

sounds about right i guess? they say this wednesday is going to be one of the last "warm" days this month (8'c), and then drop after that, with night time temps supposed to drop to below -4 to -5'c

Inaii 12-17-2017 12:33 PM

Just rain in collingwood area

Lomac 12-18-2017 06:50 PM

Heads up for tomorrow afternoon/evening and Thursday. Snow is forecasted for the GVRD and Valley areas at higher elevations. So Richmond will probably be fine but the rest of us may be in for a rough commute.

Of course, we'll probably just get a light dusting and that will be that.

fliptuner 12-18-2017 07:11 PM

Yup. Hello 24hr shifts.

racerman88 12-19-2017 08:16 AM
