I heard a few days ago that they were expecting wet snow this week, so this the season

Chilly thus morning too

thumper 12-01-2016 07:40 AM

as long as it dosen't freeze i think i'm okay... the worst for me is snow showers and then it drops below zero :(

320icar 12-01-2016 07:47 AM

They are saying it might have a mixture of rain and snow on Sunday, which 99% means even if it did slush it will just melt right away. I expect nothing but rain

Disconnect all hoses from the bibs around your property. The last thing you want is busted pipes. Although, it never gets cold enough in our neck of the woods. The hoses themselves will thank you for bringing them indoors. I made the mistake of leaving one coiled up outside over the winter. Cheap Costco shit. Their hoses suck monkey balls, BTW.

Got my gold card from Cypress yesterday ... let it snow, let it snow, let it snow ... up in the mountains, I mean.

6o4__boi 12-01-2016 10:10 AM

fuck, driving next week will suck balls

inb4 like 50 accidents on hwy 1 and around exits at the first sign of frost

Akinari 12-01-2016 10:10 AM

When does the mountain open? Looked on their site but the mobile view isn't the best th navigate.

Had a blast up at whistler last weekend, Monday was fuckin empty it was great. Though I still got lots of practice ahead of me. End of the day I fell a few times on blue's but after like 5 hours of skiing my legs were wobbly

bitterly cold, possibly snow...

much professional

I hate snow like the Grinch hates Xmas, stay on the mountains please. I've had way more then my fair share coming from the Prairies.

punkwax 12-02-2016 06:23 PM

The only thing I hate about snow is shovelling. Long driveway and about 100' of sidewalk to deal with as well. If it's a bad one this year might have to buck up for a snowblower.

Edit:
Oh ya, also hate dipshits in lifted trucks/SUVs ripping around because they don't realize that just because their vehicles move forward well in the show doesn't mean they can stop just as well.

tegra7 12-04-2016 10:39 PM

Doubt metro Vancouver will get a dump of snow overnight.

i-vtecyo 12-04-2016 11:01 PM

skies look clear tonight. I also doubt there will be 5cm-10cm of snow on Thursday.

Weather channels being 100% accurate in Vancouver is like the Canucks winning games.

N.V.M. 12-05-2016 03:40 AM

its a winter wonderland in North Van!

thumper 12-05-2016 03:49 AM

it's sticking here in north burnaby. am730 says only 5cm at most before it warms up in the afternoon... which dosen't help me because i've leaving for work in a few minutes :(

suck it up and get a snowblower (jk :p) ... i have only street parking so i'm going to get buried when the snowplow comes

Jmac 12-05-2016 04:38 AM

Few cm here, still falling.

Initial reaction: Yay, get to test my new snow tires and AWD.
Second reaction: Boo, 90% of everyone else on the road is probably on cheap, shitty all-seasons.

flagella 12-05-2016 05:00 AM

Let's see how messy Monday morning traffic will be.

pastarocket 12-05-2016 05:05 AM

Driving in Richmond will be even more dangerous now with the snow.
:troll:

-looks like snow shovels will sell fast at Canadian Tire and other hardware stores.
LUL

whitev70r 12-05-2016 06:11 AM

Good thing it's a ProD day.

IMASA 12-05-2016 06:18 AM

Route to work is from Richmond to Oak and 25th area via Arthur Lang. Traveling around Richmond, the roads didn't look like they were salted/plowed, but there wasn't that much snow. Seen the usual BMW SUV's going 20-30km/h faster than everyone else and Corolla's driving 20-30km/h slower than everyone else.

The ramp from Marine Drive onto Oak street was completely blocked due to buses.
Went north up Cambie instead, traveling behind a Cadillac that was going really slow up the hill and eventually pulled to the side. Lots of pick up trucks stopped on the side, blocking 1 lane on either side. On the south side, various cars spun out or stopped blocking the lane going down Cambie.

Made it to work on time, only had to leave 15mins early.
Blizzak WS80's performed great, as usual.

SumAznGuy 12-05-2016 06:20 AM

Coming down from SFU was pretty bad since I left before Mr. Plow or the Plow King woke up. Quite a few abandoned cars a long the side of the road.
Buses are getting stuck going up Hastings from Vancouver, let along up to SFU.

My Goodyear DT's worked great and locked the truck in 4wd mode.
I have my tow straps ready.
Free tows or rescues for hot girls.
