Wow ... epic.

Well that was by far the easiest commute I've had in like, forever.

Alright how many people took the day off today, there were barely any cars on the road.

i made it in to work today, but when i left north burnaby at 6am it was starting to stick. sloppy burnaby plowing meant all the turn lanes are not plowed and i had to watch a minivan do the pinball thing against the curb to turn because it's all pack ice.

but i'm now here in slurrey with only one other staffer because no one else showed up. i am covering for someone on holiday and i do not have any more holiday leave to cover this year so skipping work is not an option for me :( . we are both worried that it's going to pick up and we'll be sleeping in the staff lounge tonight...

[EDIT] someone else just came in. he said abbotsford is baaad... the valley must be getting hit hard right now :o

bought one last night... had like a big ass stack around 9pm

went to the dollar store and the lady saw me holding it and quickly ran next door to grab some :lawl:

snow is starting to stick in surrey now.
it was forecasted early but it's still happening.
getting to work was super easy, going home might be another story

drove from richmond to vancouver downtown with ease...

literally no snow in richmond and vancouver, melted slush falling down the skies :D

No snow here in rmd and like 1cm in South van...kinda disappointed tbh :okay:

my co worker from abbotsford said city crews didn't plow anything and only threw out some gravel on both the normal roads and hwy1? can't wait for things to eventually melt and everyone is going to get rock chipped to hell and/or broken windshields.

also:

South Burnaby has barely anything compared to North Burnaby. Friendly reminder to raise wipers off your windshield for anyone who has work today and needs to park outside!

There's already some school closures lol. When I was in high school, I didn't get no damn snow days even on the worst day it snowed

Never had a snow day back in Kamloops. If the bus to school was spinning out, everyone had to move to the back to help with traction.

I'm in Poco right now and my work parking lot is completely white.

Yesterday and today were the best commute ever in south Van ... absolutely no congestion near Knight St. ... it was like a Sunday.

I get my weather reports from Revscene as oppose to the weather network/channel! Far more accurate.

Its been the earliest I've ever gone into the office today... fastest commute yet

no traffic and felt like a Sunday morning. Awesome.



For those that can't drive, please stay home like this so I can enjoy my commutes every snow day.

In fact, I hope those who took transit these past few days like it so much that there will be less cars on the road in the future!
